Please try not be so narrow minded here...

if the company is serving it's customers well, no matter malay chinese indian or whatever race the company is made of, we will still protect it as it is our national pride.

but are they doing the same for us now, are they protecting our intrest? are they giving us what we should get, i mean we pay for their services god damn and we still have to go through all this?

let me say that one more time. We pay for their services, but we still have to go through all this. Complaints to TM, MCMC, PMO. Now DAP moving against them. Also the meeting with Top Management.

Heck! we PAY for YOUR SERVICES, but still have to waste our life on your so claimed "bumi" company to perform better...it's not like we do not pay for the service. PLUS the rate we pay for broadband is one of the highest in the world, but we receive lowest performance.

That is the main reason why many here are so frustrated.

It has always indirectly been a political issue if you all haven't already realised that. TMNET and all the other government owned companies have monopoly and are backed by the goverment. How do you think they get away with all this lousy services while money goes into their own pockets? It's time to open your eyes and take look around you and you will see what is going on.

changed thread title..the previous title kinda invites ppl to talk about politics and sensitive subjects. lolz

well, i guess now u guys know how the meeting went, how defensive TM was and all...and most issues were presented to them already...

even now, they insist to send a Flying Squad technical team to my house to troubleshoot INTERNATIONAL CONNECTION. this friday.

what stupidity, i mean almost everyone here facing slow international, its a problem at their side they still want to come my hse to solve the problem.

dont know what is their agenda...well if i die this Friday, u all know who murdered me. LOL. and yes the FS session will be recorded, so that if they dont solve the problem, next time if have to complain to higher authorities i can prove how much bullshit can they can cook up with.

Isnt this all familiar to us

QUOTE(andrew9292 @ Aug 4 2009, 02:56 PM)
TM Net call centre that lay blame on the customers first before anything else. Later on some one highlighted that he was asked to format his computer to improve his Streamyx speed.

.....useless customer support.

After repeated request for information on available International Bandwidth per customer (IBPC) which is an international measurement parameter on broadband, the staff who explained on behalf of Jeremy Kung says they are unable to divulge the information. Which was retorted by me that this is an international measurement parameter and it is freely available for countries like Thailand and Indonesia. The final response was that the information are surveys done by third party and they do not have the data. Which I accepted in order not to prolong and sidetrack the whole exercise.

.....act tak tau

A customer who subscribed to 4Mbps package have local connection of 7Mbps. However, international speed was still very bad. Case in point given was the constant and very long buffering of youtube videos.

......slowmyx is slowmyx

Among other issues brought up was the discrimination of users according to IP address family. This lead to the discussion of slow connections between 9am to 5pm.

TM Net staff went on the defensive and says that banks are on special package which cost a bomb. Which of course not only does not satisfy those who were present but also turn the heat up a few notches.

......make customer angry

Almost all the customers present were subscribers to 2Mbps and above. Many upgraded their packages from 1Mbps to 2 or 4 Mbps thinking that that would solve their woes of slow connection. And unanimously it was not the case.

......slowmyx again

At this juncture, I took the opportunity to air my case, that my 4Mbps package was slower than my brother’s 512kbps package as claimed by him. I also provided copies of speedtest print-outs to 22 destinations all over the world as proof of the state of connection.

.......and again

All the customers present also point out that they are not a customer of TM Net by choice. And given a choice, they would not subscribed to Streamyx.

.......WIN!

The final specific issue which I brought up was the collection of RM88.00 for upgrade installation of Streamyx package. In the present of Jeremy Kung, the staff in charge clarified that there is no installation charge for existing customers who wants to upgrade. And whoever have been charged RM88 for installation during upgrade should contact TM Net as soon as possible.

......Corruption... shall we report Anit Corruption Agency?

However, throughout, the responses from TM Net staffs were defensive and provided no promises or solutions.

........" is there anything else i can help you with sir? " no.kthxbai. toot toot toot

well, thats about the summary of the issues discussed.

there are some issues not in the report tho, like DNS issue, and the MCMC regulations issue...

Screamyx is practically hopeless.. I can't even work using it.. urgent call comes in, my Citrix doesn't load up cuz cannot find connection. Used Maxis instead it loaded up fine.. f this stupid service.. I'm gonna cancel it real soonnnnnnnnnnnnn

Our voices won't be heard by TM.. they will just sweep us aside, and try to drag more customers to hell while they sit up there, in their diamond studded thrones laughing at us. I for one won't be their subscriber anymore even if they are the last provider in Malaysia. Forget it..

Also, another update to the report...this was missed out or not a main point.

TM said that google is already in Malaysia, which means Google has a content/cache/mirror server in Malaysia. FYI, Google is also Youtube because Google bought Youtube over if i not mistaken.

That is why some people can get extremely low pings to youtube.com (less than 80ms)

It was also said that Malaysia is Facebook's number 3 ranking of traffic/users in Malaysia. I cant remember whether it's traffic or users, sorry. And i think facebook also already cached in Malaysia...sometimes i'm able to get less than 100ms pings to facebook. SOMETIMES.

That is good actually, having international content hosted/mirrored in Malaysia...if this continues, in the long term it would benefit us a lot...

But...that also means screamyx can continue to suck and that doesn't change the fact that we still have useless service.

Youtube still loads slow for me. Even a 5 min video takes over 15 min

I hope the DAP can take action against them immediately instead of giving them time. Cause from the conversation, we can understand that TM dose not provide any single solution idea or even admit their problem. So what's the point still waiting?
