I have a few suggestion here, for those who want to apply safe trade, why don't mod ask them to submit a few thing first. I know this could be additonal cost for administration process, but i think mod can charge small amount of money for processing purpose, i don know how other forumer would think, but for me i'm willing to pay it as long as people trust us, and we also trust other safe trade tag holder

1. IC photocopy
2. All transaction via post must be done using one account only. Applicants must submit a copy of Account Book which is than will be verified by mod. This info would be put as one of applicant particular and is available for viewing by all forumer. Each transaction must go through this account only

the small amount of money isn't going to stop scammer, if I can scam more than RM5k from users here, then I don't mind paying RM1k also right? ... we need more information them so that we can provide a full profile in case they scam any users. Gotta have a discussion about ways of making sure we have complete information about all dealers. Of course, maybe not available to normal users and buyers... but at least for the people here...

I ownder,....i tot safe traders are chosen by their CONTRIBUTION to the LYN community....not merely by being able to sell cheap ngood stuffs rite? how come do i see Safe Traders wif only bout 50 sumthin posts? wut rubbish is dat?

n he/she doesnt even reaches the amount dat i hav bought n sold in LYN yet dat fella got a safe trader tag.

Some ppl here are juz here to make money off their sales, n yet they get their safe trader tag so easily...majority of his posts are in garage sales...hardly contributing to the forum, how cud this be?

I think sum1 shud really look into this....

btw, dun say 'rubbish-rubbish' la.. not good on the ears for the newbie who not very familiar with this safe trade thing.. even I also dun quite sure what is the criteria to apply this tag... basically i think they all just applying to boost their buyer confident.. but correct me if im wrong..

i think safetrade is not meant for contribution.. it meant for honest seller and buyer.. regardless of how many post or how many $$$ they had trade b4.. honest means honest la right?.. no need to measure by number right?

I think the community bit falls into line with the honest trading, and being part of Low Yat, and not just selling stuff. Like I said earlier, there's gotta be more rules, and more investigation on a user before giving him any safe trader tag.

Hell, it's gotta be done for the safety of all buyers in this forums...

i hav higlighted se7en's 1st post. Dats wut i mean by those wif low post n newbies, esp the ones dat juz register like, 2...3 months ago, can get the safe trader tag, n yet, the only thing d person does is SELL things in garage and bulk, for PROFIT...they are barely part of this community....

yes, MAYBE they do proof to be safe traders n etc......but d important thing is....as i ahv highlighted...

oh well..i dunola....u may think i am sore bout not getin a safe trader tag or etc.....but i dont really need it actually, coz i hav no intention of making a profit in LYN...juz mebe some selling n buying once in a while when needs arises....but having one wud be convenient tho... not to say ALL safe trader are profit hunters....juz a small minority of them...u kno who they are....coz u hardly see them in any other sub forum, except Garage n Bulk!

err... just wanna apply for safe trader tag...but unfortunately i belong to the group that bulk many but post little... i actually know only the thing that all lowyatian would know, so it's hard for me to make some contribution to this forum....

Please take note here, safe trader tags are not a give and forget tags. They can be revoked at any time and any reputable member can register a complaint against a safe trader should they experience any problems with them.

The safe trader tag is not just to ensure that the trader is a good trader, but also to ensure that he behaves in a way that will ensure the tag remains with him.

p/s we can't collect IC's and so on. it is not full proof, and its way too much of work for a independent non-profit site like this.

hey se7en .. i've submitted my application a few times liaw .. coz i din get any reply watsoever fr u or some of the admin. how can i get a safe trader tag? check my successful listings and also my lelong ratings (150+)

i think the safe trader tag thing should be abolished.
if you're really a safe trader...you'd have no problem selling or buying ur stuffs here...i'm sure ppl who have done business with u will vouch for u.
