The safe trader title needs to be revamped. I believe that you need a stricter measure before awarding it to anyone. At least 1 year of dealing, and make sure you have the user's complete information, photostat of IC, passport, home address verified. Maybe another person as witness or to validate the user's information, etc.

Members need to feel safe and I for one would be much m ore happier if the safe trader status is given to the right person that fits all the criteria needed. I mean, sure, we can always bank in RM500 first and pay the remaining for a product that's worth RM1000, but I really don't feel like losing RM500... example. If we don't have stricter measures, and something happens. No one else is gonna help us. We gotta protect ourselves here.

And the best would be CODs I think, to prevent anyone from scamming us. Tons of scammers these days (getting damn pissed already)

I have a few suggestion here, for those who want to apply safe trade, why don't mod ask them to submit a few thing first. I know this could be additonal cost for administration process, but i think mod can charge small amount of money for processing purpose, i don know how other forumer would think, but for me i'm willing to pay it as long as people trust us, and we also trust other safe trade tag holder

1. IC photocopy
2. All transaction via post must be done using one account only. Applicants must submit a copy of Account Book which is than will be verified by mod. This info would be put as one of applicant particular and is available for viewing by all forumer. Each transaction must go through this account only

the small amount of money isn't going to stop scammer, if I can scam more than RM5k from users here, then I don't mind paying RM1k also right? ... we need more information them so that we can provide a full profile in case they scam any users. Gotta have a discussion about ways of making sure we have complete information about all dealers. Of course, maybe not available to normal users and buyers... but at least for the people here...

I think the community bit falls into line with the honest trading, and being part of Low Yat, and not just selling stuff. Like I said earlier, there's gotta be more rules, and more investigation on a user before giving him any safe trader tag.

Hell, it's gotta be done for the safety of all buyers in this forums...

Edison, you shouldn't have a problem. Coz you're big part of the community and only selling to help fans of gundam/transformers get decent priced stuff.

You seem to meet all the requirements. LOL.

A vote for SeLrAhC as well.

I had 2 transactions with him and everything went smoothly. For the second transaction, he helped me to get a pair of shoes (which East Malaysia doesn't have my size). Thus, the purchase for me. He bought it and posted it from West Malaysia to my place safely. No profit deal though we're not as close.

Definite a "Safe Trader" tag for SeLrAhC. When it comes to purchasing items on a forum, sometimes it becomes a frightful experience because you don't know the seller, or you feel uncomfortable dealing this way when you can go to shops and pay for your items without worrying about being stood up, or perhaps meeting a stranger in some location you've never been there, etc.

SeLrAhC definitely deserves the "Safe Trader" tag. I've been dealing with hundreds of sellers on the forums for the past couple of years and my shopping experiences here have been very rewarding because of the right sellers I have chosen. SeLrAhC is dependable, punctual, provides the correct information and obtains further information if you require it. His prices aren't that bad either if you compare it to retail.

So if you're going to give "Safe Trader" status to a seller, SeLrAhC's the one to give it to. I've noticed over the last couple of months that there are several other sellers that have the "Safe Trader" status but cannot be trusted as much. So one wonders how they managed to snag a tag!.
