I would like to know the procedure to apply for the SafeTrader tag. Do feel free to ask any questions regarding my status as a seller. I mostly trader in Lelong and her is my customer feedback link I also own a website at www.18bad.com. As Lowyat forum is not really a trading website, I believe Trading/Sales thread should be kept to a minimum bump and only genuine buyers should inquire. Besides that, flaming and parasites sellers that take opportunity of other seller thread should be discouraged. Thanks This post has been edited by dchk: Jan 31 2005, 07:41 PM |

i notice that first few pages, most forumer post got safe trader tag.
does this mean that the first few to post in this thread get the safe trader tag? no offence se7en, just give my point of view only. I also apply at the middle page but i haven't been awarded the tag yet. Also i have a suggestion. All applicant who want to get the tag must give their valid IC no, name and address. This is much more realistic in case "something" happened. Well if u want my details, i can give. |

QUOTE(Mowgli @ Jan 31 2005, 10:10 PM) What constitutes an active member. Members with high post of nonsensical reply, remarks? While I do no post as many as others members, I believe that forumer should provide relevant remarks. Some traders repetitive bump their own thread to get viewership. Is that what constitutes active member. What about quality member? To be honest, the SafeTrader tag while a good positive move by Moderators, some of the so called "active members" has been abusing it. I am not sure if buyers really take the SafeTrader tag seriously but again I guess some do. So here I am. This post has been edited by dchk: Feb 1 2005, 01:47 AM |

quote from se7en's post.
QUOTE There is currently no set criteria for us to give you a Safe Trader tag, and its up to the discretion of the mod to bestow it on you. QUOTE Once this is fully functional, it will make it easier for genuine traders and buyers to deal with each other, while keeping out those who are just around to waste time. this tagging only serves as a way of making it slightly easier to deal here. and remember, it's up to the mods and admins. no question there. if anyone wants 'perfection' so much, there's always other sites that specialise in online trading like lelong, ebay, etc. nicvoo.. u can't review a system that isn't a system in the first place. QUOTE(Mowgli @ Feb 2 2005, 07:09 AM) totally agreed..u spoke my thoughts....there u go dchk... Hmm, I guess being a lowyat member isn't enough. I have actually being using Lowyat for more information purpose then trading and getting to know people. To many Lowyat is just a one stop forum to us Malaysian.u hav to contribute 1st only can....n, LYN is NOT a trading area.....so being active in Garage Sales n Bulk is not enuff for a person to get a safe tag... Hmm, I do actually provide few good contribution from myself. I own my own web hosting. However, I have never really benefitted from the members before but tried to give. I remember giving FREE web hosting to LYN members. I even offered FREE hosting service to se7en during the DARK AGES when a certain hosting company wanted to terminate their complimentary service due to some advertising issue. Well, guess these kinda of stuff are taken seriously. Anyway, it is fine. |

Any chance I could apply for Safe Trader?
My trade lists are all buying and fitting modchips for xboxes. So far I've had 2 very happy customers and I just finished another xbox earlier today (calvin) Hope that I could convince more people who would like to repair or replace their modchips by being a Safe Trader This post has been edited by dongster: Feb 4 2005, 05:15 PM |
