This thing works by shifting static pixel.
There are other settings within... I am not clear how it works yet |

If twice the price, I would get 2 x S10 instead....
S10 have green tint, inaccurate colour issue. S10 is still a bit grey-ish in normal room S10 is only slightly inferior to B650 in dark room. Personally I still like B650 more for the price that I get it. I still 'feel' that V series is coming |

Just one last question, does this plasma really have better black level than say the latest Samsung B series LCDs? or have the best LCD's catched up? In bright room, S10 is grey.
In dark room, S10 is black. Come to KL to see it |

S10 is 'grey' due to its reflective glass. At night when light is off, it's 'black'.
S10 is soft, I would say it's more natural. You are right. B650 has 'deeper' colour compare to S10. |

QUOTE(chewkl @ Aug 13 2009, 11:46 AM) Bro Ronald, any updates on the image retention on the B650? How many hours in use already for your B650? So far no IR problem as I was cautious during early panel hours. TQ. Btw I dunno how to check panel hours in service menu yet My rough guess it's approx 50 hours now. |

QUOTE(enrg @ Aug 13 2009, 12:30 PM) @ ronaldjoe Can not say B650 is blacker, the colour is deeper. But even then you mentioned that B650 goes blacker at night than S10, is this correct? @ anfieldude I thought you cant adjust gamma for the S10? In dimly lit room, B650 is blacker as S10 is still bit reflective and glass turn grey when there is a lot ambient light. |

QUOTE(enrg @ Aug 13 2009, 03:34 PM) @ ronaldjoe Better GUI, crystal design, DNLA (wireless connectivity), better colour accuracythen it seems that the S10 only wins on price. Since B650: -is blacker ind dimly lit room -has less reflective screen -has sharper picture -has deeper/better colors -better in daylight viewing -more controls (ie gamma) umm did I miss anything? any area where S10 is better? Cons: potential IR issue and no digital optical out. |

LOL... Datin should buy Pioneer instead
I sent my S10 for warranty claim too after 3 days of purchase. Have to agree that Panasonic is better in terms of reliability. Best to reflect this is to check at B650 in AVS forum. |

QUOTE(tewwyble @ Aug 13 2009, 09:45 PM) Update on my set: I don't have this problem yet 1) IR is not as bad as it seems. Only visible if i search for it. Watched a movie for 2 hours with the black bar. Yes, IR will appear when i switch back to astro but disappears about 1/2 hour later. Does not concern me when I do normal viewing for normal shows on Astro. If i want to quickly remove the IR, samsung has a "window washer" setting that can be run. If i set that on, even the most stubborn IR stains will go away within 5minutes or so. 2) No S-Video 3) Buzzing sound getting less (or I got used to it). 4) Manage to use my Nokia N82 phone with the DLNA feature. Now i can stream my home video / photos recorded on my phone directly to the TV. This is actually quite cool but useless feature. 5) Reflection on this set is really under control. In fact, i went to compare the LED LCD Samsung vs this set and the LEDs are even more reflective! Hate looking at my half naked body when i watch movie for dark scenes. |
