Silent wheel is slightly cheaper...

And u cant hang it up top of the cage.. Gliders enjoy playing at higher place~~

And personality i think wodent wheel is more silent...since i hav both...

If gliders hiss often when pee and poo, that means they hav difficulties in peeing and pooing...

It could be the glider is lack of moisture (sign of early dehydration), u can see the poo is dry dry cracked cracked...

It could be UTI..usually u will see pee dropping..

try to let him drink more water, esp lately the weather is hot.. avoid feeding too heaty food such as durian and etc.

do u supplement extra calcium?

@Shazman, don feed too much cranberries juice..the phos is kinda high..

erm..let me try to explain...

Two issue here.. one is UTI, one is Urine Crystal...both has the same symptoms that gliders will found difficulties in peeing..

Why?
UTI- Inflammation and infection happened on the urinary tract, so they feel pain when peeing..

Urine Crystal - Overdoes calcium lead to kidney stone, then when they pee, of course they will feel pain becoz of the urine crystal..

For UTI case, cranberry juice is able to produce hippuric acid in the urine, and it helps in preventing the bacteria to stick on the urinary tract..

For urine crystal case, cranberry juices helps in breaking down the crystal into smaller size so it could pass by easier. Besides that, it also helps to dilute the extra calcium from the glider body.

Rmb, cranberry juice is to PREVENT ur glider to develop such diseases. If ur glider has symptoms on UTI or urine crystal, pls go to vet.

if u wan to mix the instant hpw, jus mix 2powder + 4honey + 6water..(use the small spoon inside)..

if u serve the ready made hpw, serve 1 and 1/2 teaspoon... TEASPOON..

the correct measurement actually shud be the measuring spoon that u used for bakery, not the normal teaspoon.. biggrin.gif

u nid to offer varieties of fruits and vege....

don give glider cal every day... jus give whenever u don feed any high cal food such as papaya or choysum... and give in vvery very veryvery very small portion...

if u give like tat will overdosed easily..

Actually for HPW user, i suggest u serve sawi or papya as part of the mix vage and fruits daily, then u don hav to extra supplement calcium.

Overdose calcium does not bring any benefits to ur glider.. the glider cal is very high condensed calcium...

I would say there is chance of 2 standard grey glider would give birth to white tip, mosaiic even leu color of glider, no matter captived or wild glider, but percentage is not that high yet. Especially in malaysia.

And in wild, it could be jus white tip got killed easily because they are more easier to detect by predator.

Color gene mutation happens on wild or captived glider.

Added on August 6, 2009, 10:05 amdon forget, the first mosaic color glider in US is bred from 2 standard grey color glider. biggrin.gif

For new gliders, better let it stick to one person first. If u involve more people, then the harder for it to recognise and bond with u...

asking if mix abit HPW with GLIDERADE can?

As suititute for bee polen?

Read that gliderade has bee polen and other goodies.

Kan HPW must use bee polen right?

Just a thought la. (I am using bee polen for my HPW)
*
u mean substitute for bee pollen?

HPW memang come with bee pollen together. which hpw u using?

Don mix gliderade wit hpw, becoz u don feed gliderade everyday. End up the hpw taste differently, and they might not like it.

LOL'D . Okay I miss read mine. I thought it said add 2 tablespoons Australian Bee Pollen Powder.

-.-

Have to go to sunway now.

buy new HPW.
*
HPW starter kit inside already contains 2 tablespoon bee pollen powder.

I dono why you would need to buy separately..but i don really advise u to mix the WHP powder and bee pollen urself.. The spoon that u use might be wrong.

The measurement of each powder is very important, it has to be accurate. That is why veyr important to get from reliable seller.

Some gliders if they are not keeping in pouches b4, they will not used to it and they will seem don like to stay in the pouch...Esp, bonding pouch..

But sooner or later when they pick up, they will like to stay inside the pouch more because they become more pouch protective.

Tapirus, ur glider shud be around 7-8weeks OOP, but u nid to pump her up with proper diet..she is bit skinny.. biggrin.gif

what diet must give for 7-8 oop sugar gliders??
can give some advice
*
There is no any diet MUST give to 7-8 months OOP glider.. u can jus pick either HPW, BML or PML or other recognized diet. Jus make sure u get the correct one.. U can read up more bout glider diet at glidercentral then choose which one fits u more.

However, remember follow the ingredients stated by the inventor/glider expects.. don alter or change the diet urself becoz the nutritional balance may thrown off..

eric... if i puts the bonding pouch in cage to make she like bonding pouch oso can right??? but how to gantung it?? hehehe... biggrin.gif
*
Erm..is different.. becoz when u use bonding pouch it will swing but if hang inside cage it doesnt...

Anyway, prevent from hanging bonding pouch in the cage because they can tersangkut by the neck string..

Jus put sleeping pouch in the cage....after that, use the sleeping and wipe the used sleeping pouch, so the bonding pouch got her smell.. biggrin.gif

This tricks also works when your glider doesnt want to go in new washed pouch.. biggrin.gif
