farid, even if ur glider looks healthy now, she is still underaged glider b4. The impact still carried within her.

If she is detached too early from mother when young, until she is old she is still underaged glider b4..

I really encourage u to get another female if u planning to find one companion for panda.

Congrats to Yuey on her new babies rclxms.gif
If she sleeps in the wheel, take out the wheel for the meantime.. but sleep on the floor blink.gif she dehydrated or what? I would have thought you were gonna get a single or single sexed gliders >< you know they will eventually breed rite? Unless you already got plans to neuter tobi? How old are they btw ^^
*
Even if plan to breed, better buy separately too. If not the female might pregnatn at young age. Unless the female is few months elder than the male.

if i take away the wheel so sad for them...they play together so happily...tobi is very protective of his pouch..maybe dun let her share..hahaha..i'll try putting another pouch for her
*
Usually joey will tend to be pouch protective.. But no worry la, if u spend enuf time and patience, they eventually will bonded with u.

Neutering is just to stop the glider from producing sperm in order to avoid pregnancy.

Is not cutting of the penis.. so they can still mate..

A healthy glider with very 'gebu' tail...

Body odour affected by few criteria.diet and daily maintainence affect lot..if u wipe n clean them regularly, d smell sure reduce a lot..

In addition, bugsy hpw tat u feeding helps in odour controlling too...

Btw, nice joey U hv ther...

Wah..u all reply so so so fast eh.. SCC and shazman..hahah..

Btw elite87, what SCC and shazman told u is correct. Don't jus take in glider jus because u wan them to be ur pet.. There are lot of things u nid to put in consideration.

Money and financial is one of the important elements. First time cost can be kinda high although u jus get the most basic stuff.

I hav seen u asking around for glider in pets store section. Pls make sure u know how to differentiate or choose healthy fully weaned glider. Do not support underaged glider.

I need help..my gliders very picky over vegetables and fruits..should i blend the fruits and serve them?
*
Is normal for glider to be picky in eating..

U can try blend the fruits and vege..

or provide more stimulation for ur glider in eating...

Everyday cut the fruit and vege in cubes then place in bowl actually is kinda bored for them...

I use kritter kabob... put all the vege up, sprinkle acacia gum on the vege..then hang on the cage..

Second day, everything gone..no matter what i put.. biggrin.gif

hye there...

i've read the first page...

juz wana ask... what diet shld i maintain for pregnant gliders...

and at what age is the earliest for a joey to start with HPW..??

coz adult food and joeys are not the same rite..??

can any1 share any website regarding the pregnant glider..??

thx
*
For HPW user, there are HPW specially for lactating mothers selling in petshack. Pregnant mothers need additional protein in order to cope up with nursing period.

Joey will stick to the mother nipple and feed on mother's milk until it detach from the mother and start living independant. It's their nature. When they detach, mother will start teaching them to eat solid food, then you can start give them a try on hpw.

Unless the mother rejected the joey, then you would nid to handraise the joey by feeding wombaroo milk replacer <0.8 and prepare those tools such as warm pads and etc.

Fully weaned OOP 2months joey and adult glider eats the same thing. Because the joey can already consume solid food. There might be some differences on the portion they eat because joey's stomach is not as big as adult glider.

Lori has posted Suz's website on pregnant glider. I jus added those above as Suz does not use HPW.

Anyway, u r asking these questions because u r planning to breed? or u already breed? or u are jus asking out of curiousity?

thanks.. was thinking f the tent coz i gt 1 big A tent.. tongue.gif tougth of pitching in my apartment n let tat fellow in tehre.... hmm wana buy n collect tings... any1 gt any extar tings wan sell to me??? plz pm... help me start...
*
Never keep them in the tent permanantly. They can chew the netting then escape from the tent.

As lori said, everyone has the capability to keep pets. But motivation is the things that keep u started..Habit is the force that keep you going... The hardest part in glider keeping is to sustain the interest and passion.

Nothing can prove by yelling 'I wan to be good owner' unless u really take good care of a glider until the end of his/her day after 13-15years time. But we are able to observe and predict by looking at the behavior.

As SCC said jus now, looked at Lori and Yueyi, they take initiative to learn and pick up as much as they can, but not expect spoon feeding from others.

If someone cant even read up and learn on the net, but only seeking spoon feeding from others, i hardly can evaluate him as a good owner at this starting point.

You can let ur glider free roam, but with supervision. Don let your glider play freely without watching it. Accident may happen.

If the glider bonded with you, they usually will run on ur body or squeeze underneath ur shirt and sleep..
