i voted for bendy simply because his height and he's right footer.compliment well with RVP.dudu is a left footer and he's lacking of height.

toure's departure..i'm optimistic that we still can cope with his absence.sagna praised vermy.that should mean something.for djorou and sendy,i would say, give them another chance.same like what we did to ade when henry left us.

So an Arsenal fan managed to snap an interesting pic during one of our pre-season games. Does this particular fan know something we don't ? Or is he just a moron who jumped the gun  biggrin.gif You decide  hmm.gif

man.i lost my internet for 3 days and missed out the walcott and wilshere debate.

my points on them:
1) walcott is a pacey player while wilshere is more technical.these two are different so we cannot compare with each other.the debate on who's better should not exist imo.

2)walcott progress has been hindered by injuries as we all known.by the time he reach his top performance,he suffered injuries and rest for few weeks.we can't say he's not good anymore.he still have time to improve.

3)wilshere..still young and haven't reach 20.i didn't watch emirates cup matches so i can't judge his performance.but like what wenger said,be patient with him.don't expect too much from a kid who i believe haven't take his driving test yet.lol.

so..the african clique is not exist anymore, huh?no more african dance after this.too bad.tongue.gif

Fiorentina, atletico and celtic dont sound like easy opponents to me, especially fiorentina  hmm.gif  Italy's and Spain's 4th teams are at the bottom tier of the ranking?  hmm.gif Anyhow, it would be a great test for the lads  flex.gif  Show time Gunners!!! We have taken the back seat for 3-4 years now. Time to show them what we are actually made of  flex.gif  flex.gif  flex.gif

Apart from the two games where we were pretty much overran by MU and Chelsea in the CL and EPL respectively, we actually managed to put up a decent fight against them early on and succeeded in grabbing maximum points.

Sitting on the edge on the seat only means that you're watching an exhilarating, exciting game. biggrin.gif

Anyway, welcome Karembeu !!

He'll be scouting for Aussies and Kiwis, maybe even some native indigenous kids from tropical Pacific islands icon_idea.gif

Barcelona target Cesc Fabregas is among those who could look at Hleb's situation and come to the conclusion that leaving Arsenal is not always the best way to take a step forward in your career. While Wenger's side do not look likely to be challenging for too many trophies in the coming months at this moment in time, this is a manager whose powers of reinvention should never be under-estimated.

And who says that AW is destroying the national team?
At first, I wonder if it's the club decision or his... after finished reading, only I know it's the later.... just couldn't imagine what's the reason behind number 52 hmm.gif anyway, it's good that he is motivated to get a unique number and try to make it famous ! flex.gif

If I were to take number 52, it's because of my gf's birthday (2 May)  wub.gif
I think he has looked at the database before releasing the news laugh.gif

hope he can double up his goal tally just like his shirt number.

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Aug 15 2009, 08:54 AM)

We've seen Titi's goals far too many times, but let's watch his wonderful assists. How many forwards in recent years are able to create as well as score like Titi can? It's a great mystery that he never won any individual player awards in the international level, but we all know the POTY prize is never a good representation of a player's achievements.

Note that whenever Titi makes a pass, there's always someone in the box waiting for the tap-in. Freddie was the master in this, while Bobby and another on-rushing midfielder (Paddy, Edu, Gil) will be around for support.

Looking at our current players, only Andy seems intelligent enough to read those passes and pop up at the right time. Dudu's high finishing rate should make him a starter whenever fit; so if Arsene insist on letting Robin play the central forward upfront, maybe Dudu should be the one making Freddiesque runs into the box. Otherwise just let Dudu play the central striker and move Robin back to the right flank where he has more space to operate.
*
i will always remember his assists in Man U's game.2nd goal for arsenal by RVP.wonderful.i thought he's going to score it but he knew exactly that RVP is coming for it and backheel the ball to RVP instead.

Hey guys, just curious, what is Arsenal's official team song or anthem?
*
didn't you heard from last night match?

"it's a super duper arsenal,
super arsenal fc,
and they've played the world over,
and champions we'll be!"

tongue.gif

vermaelen is a revelation to us.never once he lose aerial battles.and almunia was superbly cool last night.only beaten once by the fault of clichy who didn't cover the area well.low point is only andy.he's invincible until his shot that leads to dudu's goal.

based on last nite performance,i can say that this is the most complete team that we had even though we lost three first team players.what can i say..we really defy the odds!

hmm, yeah get la, why not? but i am more interested in a CB now. i hope sendy was watching the match last night at home or wherever and thinking, "who wants to play for everton?" and stays put.
*
i think sendy will move if lescott goes to man city.and after the match he will definitely start to think about his future as vermy was really comfortable playing with us.

QUOTE(Zan81 @ Aug 19 2009, 12:32 PM)
The 3 goals contributed by our midfield in 2 games could be attributed by RVP, Arsh and Bendtner. The presence of 3 forwards would draw more attention from opposing defenders, leaving space for our midfielders to patrol the area just outside our box or to arrive late. We also saw yesterday there were a few times where we had quite a number of people in the penalty box, which is a rarity if you've been following Arsenal a long time.

I think someone mentioned earlier that leaving Bendtner on the right flank would give us an option to mop up cross-field high balls against leftbacks, who are generally shorter than centrebacks.
*
now that you've said it,i realised that our left wing crosses is higher and straight to the right hand side while our right wing crosses is more direct to the legs.that's one advantage of having bendtner as right forward and arshavin at the left side.
