So I guess *ahem* the wife was on top last weekend  brows.gif  tongue.gif

Hehe anyway in my group we have 2 Gunners, me and another though the other Gunner isn't has hardcore as me  tongue.gif , most of them obviously are Man Utd supporters with 1 Liverpool and 2 Chelsea supporters. Supposed to have 3 Gooners in my group including me but the guy quit supporting Arsenal and became a neutral after Titi left for Barca.  sweat.gif

hahaha... terrible, but yes, the wife would've had the glory of goading her hubby. then again, liverpool lost their first game while united won, so i guess they're even for now....

that guy who you said quite supporting arsenal after henry left.... i find that rather intriguing... that means your friend became an arsenal supporter when henry came to arsenal? he supports the club because of the player? for me, i've always supported arsenal first and then the player second... so no matter who leaves, i can never stop supporting arsenal.... cause that's the club i fell in love with, and that's the club i'll die with (along with perak... hahahah).....

how sad. quit arsenal after titi left? thats very sad.. my group. all the girls are mu fans, so obviously when its a girls day out, i kena teruk teruk. the guys... 3 mu, 1 gooner, 1 liverpool. but when hang out with bf and friends, um 10 mu, me the only one not.heh

i dunno whether this is true or not, but from my observation, i notice a lot of girls here support a club because their partner / spouse supports that particular club... and since malaysia is full of united supporters, hence the many female united supporters. i'm not saying that all females are like that lah.. but this is what i notice.

but yes, kaka91, i understand how you feel when you go out with your friends and you're the only arsenal supporter there... so just hang in there and then lepas geram in here... hahahah...

if wanna watch arsenal match together gether, let's join the AFCSM (arsenal football club supporters malaysia) lar.... then it will definitely be all arsenal supporters and it will be a big group. should be quite fun.

this is where they meet for matches:

Bayu Angkasa Restaurant
@ Bayu Angkasa Condominium
No: 4, Jalan Medang Kapas,
Bukit Bandaraya, Bangsar KL

but if we do wanna watch the match together, make sure got enough people... the last time supposedly go to asia cafe and watch, there was like 3 of us i think... lameness to the max... hahahaha.....

6. Denilson - Typical Denilson. Did everything neat and simple and anonymous. Eye-catching and sparkling ain't his thing, but consistency is.

8. Diaby - Proved others wrong with two well taken goals and lots of Hlebesque footwork. The best piece of skill would be the nutmeg followed by a pirouette, although that didn't result in anything tongue.gif Yet despite his good performance there are two things that comes to mind - he still takes one touch too many and slows down the midfield; and his failure to mark his man for Pompey's goal. Overall it's still good to see Diaby again. Keep fit, Abou !!

i disagree with point 6 and agree with point 8.

for point 6, although stats may show that he's been doing the same old thing, i feel that his play this season in a 4-3-3 formation is more incisive and the passes more penetrating. last season, he was still making the same number of passes, but they didn't really provide the bite that we needed. i suppose that's why the denilson skeptics always say that his passes are just sideways. in the game against pompey, he was less outstanding, but that's probably he had to do a lot more defensive work to do since song wasn't playing and diaby is very attacking minded. but still, the passes were simple, and he wasn't trying too hard.

as for point 8, i really have to agree about the one touch too many that slows down the midfield, and also the fact that his defensive workrate just ain't good enough... that's why although i would readily agree that diaby is capable of great goals (like the 2 he scored against pompey), i still remain a diaby skeptic.

as for the goal, i blame almunia mostly for the goal. in football, the player must move forward to receive the pass. otherwise, an opposing player may be able to take the ball of your feel before it reaches you. similarly for goalies, they must go forward to collect the ball in the air. in this case, almunia had a clear view of the flight of the ball. however, i think he took it for granted that he was alone, not expecting ex spurs reject kaboul go pop up in front of him. so i think it was just a lack of focus / concentration. and this is what pundits always talk about for a top team goalie. they will not have much to do in a game at times, but they never lose focus and concentration so that when they are called upon, they are able to deliver. almunia is a good goalie, but goals like these will make or break our season when playing against top teams. hopefully this is just a blip.

anyways, all responses are constructive in nature, so i hope it will be taken in that manner... =)
