planning to buy this phone but wondering application wise .. is it easy to get access ? i mean download for free ?

was pretty impressed by it comparing it to iphone.. seems lots of good features such as proximity sensor etc

that's waht i thought.. my last symbian phone was the sony erickson p900..haha... long long time ago when symbian phone not much software.. or lots of simple softwares nothing nice and complicated such as those of iphones..

how cool is that can't stop my droooling...hehehe
damn now i gotta look for one seriously...anybody wanna sell me a 2nd hand unit ?hehe

yah do we need to format the stickw hen we get the phone ? will that jeaopardize the already available programs within ?i mean the default programs / applications .. will formatting the stick del them ?

wondering .. is the maxis offer of rm9xx contract deal worth it ?

yah i'm thinkin that also as their plan is value 150 i think. which my monthly bill is almost there already. rm1xx. So just wondering to take up their nokai 5800 deal or the iphone deal which is rm1600 i think with 24yrs contract. mmmm...

hey the current nokia site firmware is 21.0.025 right ? is that the latest firmware ? coz i saw some ppl using some v30. do we just stick to the nokia site 21.0.025 ? which is more stable and better ?

where to go to download v30 ? hey each time we update our firmware .. do we need to backup ? coz i got softwares / applications installed in there. so will updating erased all my apps ?
how to backup ? using the file manager & choose backup ?

hey is this normal.. whenever i switch off the phone. i press the "power" button... then select " turn off" ...
the phone will cycle through the main page, then contact and then alarm... then finally TURN OFF

??

mmm... weird.. i tried resetting it... still the same...

when i press the top button - power butoon once.. comes the menu : i select " SWITCH OFF".. then the 5800 will turn off the phone but before that it'll just flash the screen of the menu, contact & alarm before it turns completely OFF..

anybody else experience that ? is it firmware related ?

soft reset is just powering off the set and restart ? or the 7370 code.. ?

but doesn't this puts the whole phone back to original state ? lose all the other apps that you install ? i did that just now n lost all the games i installed in the menu

you are right... it's the backgrd programs that are shown before shutting down ...

anyways how do it turn them off ?
coz even after i just turn on the phone and tried turning off.. it still shows me some of the bckgrd progs b4 shutting down ...

yup just did it 5min ago .. updated to v30 now the problem with the backgrd programs running when i switched off has disappeared. so meaning was that a virus problem or the firmware problem ? as before i updated to v30.. whenever i press the switch off button.. the phone will cycle thru all the backgrd programs such as contacts and alarm b4 turning off... some was telling it's virus ... but now with the updated v30. no more. so not sure which is true... not sure still got virus or not..

where to download a virus scanner for phone ?

hey guys... can we just format the whole 8gb memory card ? i mean won't the folders all get wiped out ? i wanan format the card but not sure how to get back all those folders... sounds, music... coz not sure which files virus infected... so wanna be sure...
