Well, you guys won't believe it, but I had this very famous Malay BB champion who later did adverts for Shelltox in my apartment once when I was 19. I can't recall his name. You have heard of him. Household name.

With a T-shirt on, he simply looked fat. Like bloated.

No, not Said Fazli. I can't remember his name. This guy is long retired from BB. I'm not sure though, because I do not own a TV, avoid watching TV and avoid reading Malaysian newspapers.

Added on August 2, 2009, 9:42 pmHe had this very wholesome image. When I talked to him in my student apartment, I realised why. He is a nice guy, and unaffected by his celebrity status.

Well if not Shelltox then Ridsect or some other brand of mosquito killers. But it was a very long time ago. Back when I was sucking my thumb and watching Transformers, Thundercats, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

That's nonsense. Every broomstick fancies himself to be a big eater who happens to be blighted with a 'high metabolism'. List down what you ate today so we can laugh at you.

QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Aug 18 2009, 05:20 PM)
People that train for powerlifting, barely if ever use single-arm deadlifts. They may use single limb leg work to decrease the load on their spine while increasing work load on the legs.

Single arm work, is mostly used for athletes that require a lot of unilateral movement such as speed skaters, discus throwers, javelin throwers, sprinters. They require the single arm coordination to be able to throw their power from the base (legs) to the final extension (arm)

Deadlifts to any healthy individual should usually not be dangerous, unless a form breakdown on essential portions of the body happen (eg:lumbar)

On that note, I'm thinking about bringing a TRXsuspension system since there's a lot of people out there that want to workout but don't have a gym or can't find time to go. What do you guys think about it? Think it'll sell?
*
I think you'll sell more power racks. Those available at Fitness Concept are overfeatured and therefore too expensive.

There's this full-featured Tanita scale at every Fitness Concept you can use for free. It even prints out your results on a piece of paper. The one at 1U is defective though.

On Monday I saw an display of all that is wrong with bodybuilders. There was this guy, previously very thin (they have this look, so you can tell), but who spent a year in the gym or so. He was walking to Murni in SS2. In a sleeveless body hugging shirt. (Only bodybuilders wear such shirts.) And like so many other gym goers, all that bench pressing has totally hunched his upper back/shoulders.

It was grotesque.

1. Do not wear such a shirt, regardless of your body. Have some modesty and taste.

2. Pull back your shoulder blades when you bench press, and alternate it with the overhead press.

I personally can't stand flab around the midsection. I have given up on quite a bit of poundage progress because of this. If I can't feel and see my abs I feel lousy.

Somebody just asked that earlier and the reply was that it's normal. But would be good if you keep adding weights gradually and at a manageable rate.

Yes, until you are overhead pressing a ton.

Anyone thinking of contacting the azwan guy? I think getting testosterone to a high level makes for a very different kind of physique. Big, but very lean. You can even train to the max everyday. Recovery will be rapid.
