yup deneb... CACVC is AM2+ core CACZC is AM3 core

but i wondered why AMD throw deneb core to athlonx2
*
AMD AthlonX2 5000+ is like the chip to choose for an Entry level AMD system....the same goes to the newer 5200....

if all the 5000 and 5200 can be unlocked, than the 240,250 or even 720 and 550 shouldnt even be the first choice to get... laugh.gif

Hello Sifus notworthy.gif
I'm planing to get Asus M4A78-Plus (AMD770/SB700 Chipset) and Phenom II 720be.
Is there any chance of unlocking 720be to quad core with this motherboard? Thanks notworthy.gif

its depend on the Proc chip & luck also, not all AII/PII X2/X3 able to unlock successfully. If you bought a proc with defective core, u unlock ,it wont boot to window. sometimes u able to unlock the disable core but u wont be able to push to desire Frequency stable.

but if you 're luck, u might get both without paying extra.

Maybe AMD internal QC find it unstable and therefore clear it out as lower range processor. I think its hard to find one now.

Unlock one AM3 Athlon 2 X3 435. These things seem so easy to unlock making them so much attractive than Intel's offering nowadays. When I look back at my E8500 which I bought at RM550, sigh, I can get the board + unlockable quad processor from AMD already.

I think if can unlock 4th core, then no need overclock liao lor. After unlock, already run hotter due to extra core and then need to up voltage sometimes to accomodate the 4th core efficiently. The A2 X3 that I unlock though was able to run at lower Vcore of 1.35v and still pass the stress test.

Hi, I'm using Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H. Confirm able to select cores on F7 bios. need to set core selection in bios to "manual".
IINM, this board one of the cheapest boards out there that allows you to unlock cores.

BTW, i confirm here that I able to unlock 3 cores on my X2 550 BE. OC to 3.4Ghz stable using zalman 9500led HSF.

board as mentioned above. batch is HDZ550WFGIBOX.

Thanks and all the best to this thread.
