I'm planing to get Asus M4A78-Plus (AMD770/SB700 Chipset) and Phenom II 720be.
Is there any chance of unlocking 720be to quad core with this motherboard? Thanks

QUOTE(beast921 @ Feb 24 2010, 12:11 AM) its depend on the Proc chip & luck also, not all AII/PII X2/X3 able to unlock successfully. If you bought a proc with defective core, u unlock ,it wont boot to window. sometimes u able to unlock the disable core but u wont be able to push to desire Frequency stable. Woo...thanks for the info bro but if you 're luck, u might get both without paying extra. If that's the case then I'll forget about unlocking, too much risk bro Thanks again |
