Can anyone confirm ASS subs from mkv works with the PoHD?

I fedup looking for SRT files from the net....converting ASS files is not straight forward either.

Did a google and some say can, some say depend on the bitrate of the movie.
*
Why need to convert ASS files? you may try below website:-

http://www.subom.com/
http://www.9sub.com/
http://www.bt125.com/
http://sub.yyets.net

a lot free subtitle for download even .ass file but sometime very slow..

This is on my list of To-Buy http://www.buffalotech.com/products/networ...nkstation-quad/ RM999 with 500Gb HDD
*
My opinion, try to avoid built-in type NAS. Reason:
1. If unit faulty, u will not know is hard disk or the NAS.
2. If claim for warranty, u have to send whole unit just becasue of 1 hard disk fail?
3. Don't forget, their RMA dept can retrieve the faulty data, your privacy or important data in danger.
4. We do not know what brand or model use inside the NAS. May be special model just for them. We can't find in the market, then u will got biiiiigggg problem because NAS recommend same brand same model for the all hard disks.

So, how? cool2.gif

Etrayz, can support Megashare and others. This is the only one can support the enhancement dowload engine. Only BT is ont enough because Telekom has filtering system. One it is BT files, it will block them. See more details: http://www.itechnews.net/2009/08/31/xtream...rayz-2-bay-nas/

Anyone tested the leaked 2160 beta firmware? It is supposed to be able to bitstream HD audio and BDISO is also supported.
*
TViX M6600 already supported BDMV and BD-ISO, it really works. Must push POHD work harder to get ISO vmad.gif . Details: http://www.mpcclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21678

they should test ratatoulie bdiso.
As for dvico. For that price better get c-200.
*
I don't think C-200 is ok now. To operate C-200, u need more technical info. It is a bit complicated sweat.gif . No joke! pls read the link from the expert:

My supplier quote me RM6K for a 8Tb Buffalo Terrorstation III...getting one for my office..

Go for Thecus, they are built for enterprise and the booting time damn faster then other, within 1 minute only because their firmware write inside the RAM. QNAP let me wait for more then 4 minutes becasue their engineer write the firmware into hard disk for first booting. Every time the unit has to search all over the hard disk b4 the unit is ready to use.

N4100Pro, 4-bay, RM1699.00 thumbup.gif
N5500, 5-bay, RM3599.00
N7700, 7-bay, RM4299.00
N7700Pro, 4GB RAM, RM4999.00
N7700SAS, 4GB RAM, RM6499.00
N8800, 8-bay, RM6990.00, 2U rack mount.

i saw external bufalo 1tb selling 330 but using USB port...i wonder if this usable with POHD.......
*
Shouldn't be a problem. But those want to use the external enclose, think twice because yr hdd will increase and keeping these hdd( with the adapter) going face problem. Use internal hdd and future can upgrade to NAS. Trust me, I oledi has more then 10 hdd but easily keep in the hard disk foam packing. Use docking to watch movies.

*
1. If new hard disk, u need to format first, bros already explained
2. For eSATA, you need to on the dock first then switch on the PC, yr PC can detect dock as another directory

Hi guy, message from Box Builder, new release firmware:

Note:
Copy install.img to the root directory of a USB flash drive and connect it to the USB host port of the player.
Enter the Setup menu, System, System Update, System Upgrade and Enter to confirm.
Please wait for the flashing to complete until the Playon! HD restarts by itself.
Do not power off the unit during the flashing process!

The HDMI connection may reset after updating the firmware and may go out of sync with your display.
Press the TV SYS button on the remote a few times to sync with a compatible display mode if this happen.
Once the display is back, we recommend setting to HDMI Auto in the video setup menu unless a manual mode is preferred.

Attention:
Please note that version v7.0.6 r2233 is based on the latest SDK version 2 and cannot be downgraded to earlier versions.
Should you need to roll back to an earlier version, you will need to reformat the internal HDD through the Playon!HD system.
