QUOTE(stimix @ Jan 18 2010, 12:28 PM) Oh yah-kah funny the file ext only having BDMV & nothing else...yeah need to browse manualy & play from there..no Menu option like david foster wan & thus no song selection & etc.. Sorry I posted some wrong info above. See my edited post. Currently the POHD can't browse the .iso file. The automatic and Manual browse option only applies to BDMV folder. Sorry again. Your Celine Dion file with the BDMV extension might be a variation of the BDMV folder.... That one you must ask the real expert AR188 This post has been edited by Ngto: Jan 18 2010, 12:38 PM

QUOTE(chewkl @ Jan 18 2010, 12:33 PM) I think, the more important issue here is that Mr. Stimix cannot even differentiate between DVD and BD image quality. *CABUTS* Hehe maybe he is having only 32" TV

QUOTE(Docan @ Jan 18 2010, 12:58 PM) POHD relatted toACRyan?? When I playBDMV on the ACRyan there are so many Mts files. with the Divico I just press BDMV and the movie plays. Anyway to fix the ACRYan to play like the Divico then to scroll and check all the Mts files. at times after one file it stops and have to choose the next file. anybody can help? The POHD can automatically play the largest m2ts for both BD.iso and BDMV folders (firmware 2901) , but nowadays these Blu-ray producers have become smart. They break the movie up , and now you can't simply just select the largest file to play the whole movie. The better solution is to wait and see in future firmware if the AC Ryan (and other Realtek players) can read and play from the Blu-ray playlists for the correct file sequence. QUOTE(moomoos @ Jan 19 2010, 07:48 PM) sorry one more snoob question.. wats this YAMJ... gracias YAMJ (Yet another Movie Jukebox). It is a GUI interface which better organise the media files complete with Pics and all. Something like moving from DOS to Windows interface. It will make the POHD or other Media players have a more classy feel. Good to hear that the AC Ryan team is working directly with the Creators of YAMJ to get the YAMJ on the POHD. Take a look at this post (No. 2048) for an idea of what it look like :- http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1106233/+2040This post has been edited by Ngto: Jan 20 2010, 11:06 AM

IMAX is just a High Resolution format for movies created by IMAX Corp. It can be 2D or 3D. Not necessary must be 3D.
Berjaya Times Square Theatre used to screen IMAX movies (Mostly 3D) but now they are just mostly screening normal resolution Movies enlarged on their BIG screen. Take note that these screenings are not IMAX movies and when enlarged on the BIG Screen they become worse quality than Normal Cineplex standard.

QUOTE(adamw @ Jan 27 2010, 09:00 PM) Some sources whether reliable or not say wait till March. WTF? Still no BDISO? Even the cheapest "China" Realtek can do that already! Got BD ISO lah, but just very basic only, still better than nothing

QUOTE(stimix @ Jan 28 2010, 09:29 AM) Something like those DVD disk-lah, first play is the menu, background music with menu selections such as 'Play", "Images", "Behind the scenes", "Cast" & etc.. Currently POHD only support DVD.iso on menu selection (Yes I tested dy & so far superb on this) On BDMV/BD ISO, yopu can play (Confirmed on my Celine Deon BDMV) but there will be no menu selection. You have goto the folder & select the title. (Yes I tested this also) & those wth BD ISO wth HD Audio, I read someone commented here we can play the movie but without sound! That's why the title read..Half baked Media player Without sound only for titles which have True-HD audio track (BD.ISO or BDMV one and the same). If your title have DTS-MA track then you will get Regular DTS 5.1 sound. This post has been edited by Ngto: Jan 28 2010, 12:53 PM

QUOTE(stimix @ Jan 28 2010, 09:37 AM) BTW, someone posted earlier saying watching same movies in DVD format & also Blue Ray format, and the sound output on DVD much clearer & powerfull than blueray..Well I think i have to agree...the sound output watching .avi is much better than watching mkv.. wondering why hor? Depends on how much they compress and reduce the Audio quality when converting from the HD Audio in the original Blu-ray to regular Dolby or DTS sound in MKV or AVI. DVD sound can sometimes sound better because they may be taken directly from original and no further compression is done as DVD size already small compared to Blu-ray. Also when playing those Uncle Ho DVDs, the Vol level is pumped up when they convert to DTS, so some people may find it seem more 'powerful' when listening to the louder Audio.

If need to re-copy, then it will be useless. Hope it's only in trial version and not the official version.

QUOTE(yslysl @ Jan 30 2010, 12:13 AM) sorry noob here, passthrough means wut ar? can play or cannot play? How many times have to repeat. The title of the thread already says NO HD Audio. AC Ryan just play around with words lah. To them DTS-MA passthrough means DTS-MA CORE only passthrough, not the real thing Trick people like you This post has been edited by Ngto: Jan 30 2010, 12:23 AM

QUOTE(yslysl @ Jan 30 2010, 12:22 AM) ic...eh bro...our PoHD can play DD and DTS right? If your DVD or Blu-ray only got DD or DTS sure can lah. If your Blu-ray HD Audio track is DTS-MA then you just hear the core DTS . If your Blu-ray HD Audio Track is Dolby True-HD then you get silent movie. If you are lucky the movie also have regular Dolby 5.1 track included then you can select the normal Dolby 5.1 sound. This post has been edited by Ngto: Jan 30 2010, 12:30 AM

QUOTE(yslysl @ Jan 30 2010, 12:31 AM) ic thx for explanation coz previous post make me confuse a bit like saying, * AC3 Dolby Digital 5.1 (passthrough & downmix to stereo) * DTS (passthrough & downmix to stereo) i thought we only get stereo sound but the cover box says we can get DD and DTS cheers That one only regular DD and DTS sound passthrough , not the same as HD Audio .

As far as I know, can't.
Put in a request at POHD forums, maybe they will implement playlists for external devices as well. I sure would like to see that feature in future releases.
