Its seriously up to you. Some people like to add some noise into the photo to add some "effects". Some people just wanna have a pixel perfect photo. Yes the quality of the photo is important. But sometimes the "moment" is more important. So you decide yourself. (:

for me...if u wan me to choose between detail and noise, my answer is detail.

one thing i like about SONY is they try to maintain higher detail in the photo compare to other brand scarifies detail to have better noise performance.

for me noise can be reduce using software but u can never draw out the detail if it is not there.

my few cents here

higher detail? as in sharpness? pls explain...  unsure.gif
*
in photography, we normally relate the sharpness with highlighting the detail

but in actual fact sharpness is not only about detail, there is many factor involve in order for u to reach max sharpness. eg, handshake, lens, weather and so on.

u can read something here
http://www.dphotojournal.com/photography-t...imum-sharpness/

but for me detail is a very major key to obtain the sharpness in ur photo

SAL 16-105 and SAL 16-80z actually not much dif...at least for my eye. i will not pay extra 1k for the not much dif and shorter range. i would rather use the 1k for other stuff

Somehow, although I found that A200 has better ergonomics, the A230 is actually feel more solid in terms of build.
*
agree...anyway..both are ok for me...just which u prefer when u hold it.

btw i do like the 230 for the higher pop-up flash, but i like the easy access in A200 (the button and menu)

hi people, i just bought SAL 16-105, n i want to make sure that its is a good copy ? is there anyone that can tell me what to do ? i've been comparing between the image quality between 16105 and my kit lens, the result are the same. im worried now sleep.gif maybe its because of the low light settings ? just rained over here.
*
play with ur lens and find ur sweet spot of ur lens...looking at ur Doggy pig, as what napi said, speed too slow and wide open....

if indoor, try to shoot some object with good lighting... and zoom in...and yes the 16105 are not very much better then kitty, our kitty can be very sharp too...if u know how to use it.

1 more opinion, do feel scare to pump out ur ISO
