And if we're looking to buy a star winger, we should look elsewhere. Silva is not an out and out winger. More of an AM sort of guy, rather than someone who beat defenders for fun and crosses the ball.
Added on August 5, 2009, 4:52 pmHe was different in his first season compared to last. Nothing work for him last season for some reason. Every single decision he makes was the wrong one almost. In his first season, he really look like a replacement for Giggs down the left wing.. not like for like or be as good, but a very good winger for us. Only 23.. plenty of time to get back on tract.

Rumours going around saying Liverpool gonna get Aquilani. Not sure how he does in midfield but seems to get forward well, good link up play, and a great striker of the ball.. another string in their bow, but not sure what that means for their midfield. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yX_BBFUyVE...player_embedded
Aquilani's a great player...might be more dangerous than Alonso if he plays in Liverpool.
Don't watch Roma games so I don't know how he plays the game. He's more dangerous than Alonso maybe, but would he bring the same stability as Alonso does?

David Silva can play a lot different midfield position.... that y SAF consider to bring him to Man u.... still 23 year old... can improve a lot with man utd coming years..... i believe SAF will guide him to succes....
He's not a winger, he's not a CM. The only way he gonna play is if we play him behind one of the striker and sacrifice another striker to make way for him.
Maybe they have to pay more for to ESPN? They do have a lot of stuff now on supersports. Last time use to hear that annoying music a lot, or just show Eurosport throughout the empty slots between programs. Now got badminton lah, blabla. They should make the golf channel separate.. I don't watch that boring stuff.

They're showing Lyn Oslo - Liverpool right now.. live. And yet our game vs Valencia would not.. who do they employ to buy these matches to show on TV? Idiots.
Entertaining game. Glad I stayed up for this. Valencia is gonna be some player for us if he keep doing that every game. Nani look kinda good too. Hope he keeps it up.
+Keano's look I really hope less 'twist and turns and then lose the possession' runs from him. He's really a good footballer
He just need to do it like he did just now. Go straight through..
Valencia is very2 fast. Probably could beat a Bugatti Veyron over the first few 20-30m or so. The defender ran out of gas in the 2nd half. 2nd time they ran for the ball again, the defender had to come off the pitch(okay, his knee went out..). Luckily they still had another GK as backup since they already made 10 changes at the time. That David Silva is a very classy player. Would be a very good player for someone playing behind the striker(s) creating chances after chances.
Obertan is a very good young player. Have to wait till he plays a couple of matches with our first team before we can truly judged him though. But I feel he has all the tools and is as exciting as the other young wingers.. that Costa kid, everyone been wanking silly over him, but with Obertan people seem to have that doubt..
I still don't trust our team to play 442 well in the big games. I know we did well against them last season using Fletcher-Giggs there, but it would be different this time.

ah... my bad, didn't watch d match this morning but his appearance is alot lesser than his twin brothers from what i observed. hardly any match nowadays coz no more cable tv at home...
gotta agree w driftmeister that we need quality cb for backup, so far only evans able to feature more.
Rafael is injured.. didn't feature in any of the pre-season so far. It's been Fabio who have been getting games. At first as cover for Evra, and then when Wes got injured, and with Vida missing too, he played on the right in a few matches. He's right footed, so it's natural for him to play on the right.
De Laet looks good going forward. Seems easy to him. Strange one.. couldn't get a game at Stoke, and then we jump and get him to our reserves. Played against Hull last season and didn't look like a reserve at all.
