KVR stands for Kingston Value Ram. is there 1TB notebook HDD currently?i tot only until 500gb only rite now leh..btw, yes u can proceed changing ur hdd.no problem at all, ATM i think u can go for 4GB RAM. if you're going to keep the battery life cycle low, don't attach the battery lah. But i think just let it be. in case of power failure, u won't be losing ur file suddenly. that's more important maa...

i'd been using win7 on my MB until now, installed through bootcamp. no problem at all, just that i think the touch pad's quite too sensitive. other, everything's good as it's installed in normal laptop.. Ya la... if u asked in apple byte for sure everyone says buy MBP lohh.. if u go sony forum sure lots ppl says MBP sucks or whatever. diff ppl diff taste mah. Btw, usually ppl scare of macbooks's bcoz the compatibility of softwares... So, i think with the current bootcamp, u don't have to worry bout compatibility issues, just get a windows installation and use ur bootcamp.

QUOTE(chypher @ Dec 21 2009, 03:20 PM) Hey guys, My white macbook which is 6 months old is making noise when I insert the CD into the CD-Rom. It sounds like bzzzztttt.. like the cd spinning really really loud. and most of the time, it can't load the things inside the CD. Damn. now the CD is stuck inside my macbook. Can't even eject it. Do you guys think I can claim warranty for this? Where should I go? The one is BsC. Is it still there? I bought my mac from apple store Malaysia website. Should I go claim the warranty or something like that? If the cd already stuck, then just go claim for warranty, bro. just keep in mind, backup and del sensitive data frm ur hdd... they will boot ur macbook for test run. and ur sensitive data is at risk. i got this advice frm my friend working as tech. it's dangerous to just give ur lptop like that without saving ur sensitive data first. they might stole frm u.

left hand side? that's the place where ur hdd is place. u changed ur hdd before? coz i'd heard that some hdd has the tickling sound bcoz of the hdd power saving function. try to shut down first ur macbook before u lift up. maybe that would solve the prob.

i mean the aluminium. sry for the confusion. i think it's bcoz, of the trademark of macbooks are white colours, while MBP are aluminium, that's why they stopped producing aluminium casing for macbooks. forgot that the latest macbooks are also unibody, just that it's policarbonate and white colour.

agreed. i think the most important part is the aluminium unibody. it's pretty much easier to maintain than a white mac. plus the keyboard lighting helps a lot when working in the dark. btw, firewire 800 is quite expensive it think, coz the old firewire is 400 only, rite?
