yup...i know that problems... im facing the problems before...thats why i have to use vista for a while(unwillingly)... wait till it fully supports this lappy...
for me..im oso hate vista...but this is my only options...really loves seven tho it only on RC/RTM package... eagerly can wait for the official release of win7...
good responses compares to vista...fast like xp...really like it...

hmmm...is it works when only change the compability to vista??? im really hepi with the powerxpress thing... can u change the GPU in windows mode???

yup,try donlod latest directx... why dont u install vista for the time being.. u always facing a lot of problem.. from my opinion,it is about the software.. the hardware need a stable driver n software.. im waiting for asus to release win7 driver.. biggrin.gif

directx 11,is the latest.. but u still need to update the database of the directx..

dunno,but im always donlod the latest directx 9c(march 09)..tho using vista dx10..coz experiencing cannot play games,but after install the latest dx9, the games are running again..

try ask najmods n astria,they both have great knowledge..hmm thumbup.gif

if u ask like that,there will be plenty of diff opinion..but for me, u r serious bout buying original OS..im recomend u using seven for rite now..wait till seven oficially launch..but u have to follow some guidance in diz thread to solve issues n prblems u will be facing with this lappy..

Yes I have been reading the thread but I seem to get lost in the details. I'm an old XP user and not very up to date with the dealings with vista and I confess it has been a few years since I got a new PC (was even thinking of switching to Mac at one stage).

My main concern is with the Vista to Windows 7 upgrade especially with this laptop. I will fly out of Malaysia in a few weeks and will not be able to be here to receive the upgrade dvd and authorization code for windows 7.

I posted to see if you all had any opinion on the different options.

owh...eemmh...how long u will be out of mlaysia???the reason why im recomend u with seven coz its new, latest, lighter than vista,if u want the win7,u can donload it,n install it without product key... leave it as trial for a while(when u r outstations)....

try installing the GPU drivers in powerxpres mode... did u install ATK thing OSD.... then after that..try restart it...

im in gombak rite now... helping my frenz to format n install everything in his K40AB...the great thing is here... my laptop have been left idle... without cooling fan, n no air-con... but the temp is all below 60c(around 56-58)...i wonder if i bring the cooling fan,how low the temp can be rite???hehehe... very hepi... rclxm9.gif

let me suprise u all with this... my last post,i said that the temp is around 56-58... but the.. after a few more minutes... the temp still dropping... see the pic...this time... in balanced mode n idle.... no cooling fan n no air-cond...hehehe rclxm9.gif
