- BD-R SL/DL is 8x
- BD-RE SL/DL is 6x
- BD-ROM SL/DL is 8x
- BD-R (Lo to High) is 6x

- CD-R/-RW is 40x
- all DVD media is more than 16x except for DVD-RAM is 5x and DVD-RW/+RW is 10x.

brother, sorry to kacau a bit - Do you have the Vista or Win7 device driver for this drive ?

I upgrade my OS from XP to Win7, it can't recognize the drive.
I google for a few days but no luck finding one. Please PM me if you know how to enable it for Vista/Win7.

what's this? does not support BD-R Dual Layer? Though I never had a chance to get a DL to try, but capabilities shows it does not support DL? On your specs list it shows its capable to write 8X for DL.. Can you confirm with me about this???
