O&G still down? Today 2 of them up
*
MY O&G's are up a bit but not enough to recover from the kicking they took the last few weeks. Even KNM is way down from its high of 1.07.
I sold mine at 1.03 rclxm9.gif

But I'm still trapped by some O&Gs bought at the wrong price blink.gif

The Lions are looking pretty claw-less too hmm.gif

Reckon it will see 1.20 pretty soon.
Oil isn't going anywhere except UP - just depends how long you have to wait.

You must have been sweat.gif last week when it was dropping close to your ABP though! brows.gif

guys i got a question here:

how to calculate if dividen declared in percentage?

calculate base on the ex-date or base on announcement date?
*
if it is declared in percentage, you have to look into its Par value.

Yes.
Just interested why you decided to focus on KNM rather than spread around a bit?

I've bought and sold KNM twice in the last few months (200 Lots) and was seriously thinking to get some more if it went to 0.70 or thereabouts. But in the end I spread my cash amongst a few O&G's instead. Dialog, OilCorp, Kencana, SAAG, Scomi

Anyway, after a long time goner, my finger is activated tonight. Cant just go to sleep at this time. but to do homework with all the analysis and make a summary for tomorrow's deployment.

Trying to avoid from stepping on the 'Bad Explosive Mines' that kills. notworthy.gif ...

Hi there David_Brent, Good day to you and glad to see you up here so late. According to your disbursement of variety of counters for O&G counters are actually a play safe measure. Smart Act tooo .dude..

Wah.. similiar to my style too.. wink.gif

I seldom spread into many counters. Usually about 2-3 counters only.

margin call? If I am not mistaken margin call is the top up you have to do when your counter drop too  much during bad times and the bank wants you to pay for the facility you obtain from them.

reit is same as any other counters is just that reits give consistent dividend either in quarterly or semi annual and the price is so snail moving. Reits is only good if you are for dividend and suitable for non risk takers and have holding powers.

For me, I am for diversification and prefer dividend counters as should market crash, at least I have some dividend to spend. On the other hand reits dividend is in the region of 10%. So is pretty high. So far I only put 10% of my total investment in the reits.  I will accumulate more.  I like the 3 counters I have so far.  It gives more than 10% growth besides dividend.

Cheers

protonw, thanks for your reply.

Mind to share which 3 counters you have? What are the differences between them?

Crazy oil speculators... they're seems to be tip toeing back.

Anyway, US crude supplies inventory are down but distilled fuel and gasoline inventories are up.

Not sure how far Oil can move up.. perhaps up to $65 and if
gasoline/distilled inventories does not go down, we'll definitely see a pullback.
You cannot forever make TVs if the shops aren't selling them, right?

IMO, DJ up too much, as do S&P500. It is close to hitting resistant and we may see pull back here -
perhaps tomorrow, people may take some profits.
