hi...
i've been reading all of you guys exchanging tips and how to do...
but there were also problems with n97...
i am asking because i believe i am at the critical point to get a new phone... and n97 is seriously being considered, apart from n86...
so, pls tell me if it is worthy to buy n97 with all this problem with this and that...
tq.
(i am not asking for a comparison)
Perhaps, it depends on how you use the phone plus a little luck~
If you use your phone mainly according to Nokia's user manual, then your phone
will run very smoothly, problem free (I guess, unless somebody prove it is not).
If you hack, modified, make extensive customization etc... then the stability of your
phone may not be guaranteed.

I especially stay away from custom Themes,
unless I really like it badly~
It also depends on which applications/games you installed onto your phone. Some
applications/games was badly coded that could give you more trouble than using it.
I personally hacked my phone, did a very little necessary mod, not simply install
whatever applications/games found from the Internet. Frankly, I haven't encounter
hang, sudden-reboot etc...
Regarding lens scratches, I think it depends on how you use it... You should see why
certain user still haven't scratch their lens?
By the way, which specific "problem" you are fear of? Why not list them out so we all existing user
can tell you what really happened?

Not sure if you guys are having the problem I am having.
Contacts name is displayed, contacts picture is displayed, but the ringtone wrong. Plays the stock standard nokia tone.
Ring from the same number again and in may play okay.
I remember I've seen this before, maybe from Nokia discussion forum, if not mistaken...
I also do believe this is not an hardware issue and could be fix by firmware...
At least, you are not alone, you did not do anything wrong to your phone... not your fault at all...
