QUOTE(kuntawakaw @ Aug 17 2009, 02:30 AM) fuhh. i struggle to get 3.8ghz at that vcore..u easily able to get 4ghz... haish... btw congrats.. ur new chip ya? its scythe mugen... accordin to "her" siggy la... ur temp is cool also bro... that is the vcore u use or CnQ undeclock vcore? i also satisfy with my temp... stress at 33C only..same temp with my fren running stock + CM sphere... its on C&Q.. Today rainy day.....room temp around 25c.. so my cpu also cooler.. haha..... other days around 33-35 idle..

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Aug 20 2009, 08:51 AM) not so sure bout dfi ddr3 but biostar ddr3 board sure doesn't like high htt oc. i can easily hit 3.7xGHz (3d benchable) w/ ddr2 (790gxe 128m) but on 790gx a3+ i hardly reach 3.6GHz. jeez... defeated d purpose of upgradin to ddr3 hence change of chip is inevitable... it was hard to let go d x4 810 thou... a chip w/ capability of doin 1GHz prime stable OC (from stock) is kinda rare to me. if epmw is available i believe it'll be d better one. usually d later d better. like 0922 apmw is slightly inferior to 0922 cpmw. u need to solve d main issue 1st > d board. get yaself a 790gxe 128m instead. how can ppl not crazy over a dual core of 3.1GHz with potential to run as a quaddy @ RM3xx only (w/ rite batch & mobo)??? it's seriously a great deal... kudos to manufacturers (thou some were written by adv users) for releasin those core unlockin bios, not forgettin amd for bein so generous to us. p/s: i'm outta oc for a while (at least 2 months) coz my new place (temporary) doesn't have space for my pc... how come it's the board issue??

this is my current settings on 3.4ghz
FSB : 262 vcore : 1.39 HT link : 1834mhz DRAM Freq: 436mhz running x3.33 CR: 2T
what can I do to OC higher? I've tried many possible ways I know.. even just increase the fsb but its not stable.... BSOD on small fft.. if blend, 1 worker stop working. tried increasing vcore too.. 1.42
pls help~~~~~~~~

QUOTE(antonio @ Aug 21 2009, 03:27 AM) There is a rule of thumb usually being used by OC'ers... Small FFT's failed = Simple! Vcore not enough....If until 1.6v also not stable, which means ur proc is not suitable to run at high speeds.... However.....Hmmm...looking at your rams, pretty much at decent settings... Are u using unganged?? or ganged?? or solo, no gang??? Refer attachments, [attachmentid=1150104] Yap...totally fine I'm running at unganged. Tried 1.42 vcore and small fft seems ok on 3.5ghz .. I think its my ram problem. pretty stucked at the moment. your rame speed 600?? isn't it too high? This post has been edited by yvliew: Aug 21 2009, 03:51 AM

I was able to boot on 3.6ghz and prime for 10min no error.. i know just 10min but my question is...... is the ram frequency too low.. Only this way I am able to boot.. I've tried most of the method and they won't get pass memory testing during boot. Am I better off 3.4ghz with ram freq at 435 or 3.6ghz with ram freq 277mhz?? Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(antonio @ Aug 22 2009, 11:38 AM) Better u put 667 divider and use 5-6-6-16-22 2T...pump to 1.9v..or better yet 2.0v.... If D3, then u bump +0.1v see if you can boot or not... Because, THEORATICALLY, if ur ram is rated for 800mhz, then it should work even at speed below the rated... the problem is I can't boot past memory testing when set to 533 or higher.. only will boot at 400
