for me, it's understandable the "newton's rings" occur.

no big deal for me as it's affects a small portion at the middle of the screen & at a certain angle.

as long as it doesn't impair the functionality, i'm ok.

samsung jet.. still looking for it.. i was looking on omnia then jet.. hehe

does it mean if I buy the Jet NOW, I will not have this issue??

honestly i don't know wha tis this newton ring issue is. I bought mine used from sum1 who own its 2-3 weeks. so that take my unit back to late Nov/early Dec. I hope i don't have this.

anyone got a pic or can explain that these rings are?

i have been a jet user many months....

this is what Newton Ring looks like. I bought a Nintendo DS Lite a while ago and it has that.. but after a while it goes away, especially if I keep my DS in air-conditioned room. it's really puzzling at first.. but i didnt mind because it's only visible at some angle. It is a known issue mostly with electronics stuff. If it bothers you, just go back to Samsung and make them exchange the lcd panel for you..

I bought my Samsung Jet in October (it's a July batch, i think) and I do not have that.. no defects so far..
can't say it's perfect, but i think other stuff can be fixed with software update.

no such thing on my jet. everyhting ok.

how to set the connection setting?cannot connect to internet via wap

it happened when a maxis messege come and tell me to update my phone settting.so i updated the setting.then, when i want to connect to web via wap, i can't.it said 'UNEXPECTED FAILURE'.i delete all the connection settings, reinstall all bcak, but stilll can't.

anybody can help?

Goto Internet > Settings > Browser Profiles. select your connection here.

Hi, i am new to Samsung Jet, i am facing a problem when downloading a 5MB widget from getjar.com and it say "phone memory full", but i check the phone memory status show available 1,205,600K. I tried several times but it keep saying "phone memory full"

Anyone face this problem as well? Anyone can help? My firmware is S8003DXIK1.

@chocobo : why dont you just transfer the .jar into ur memory card? then install it from inside the phone..

with the pre-installed Asian firmware (i presume you're going to buy an Asian model), you can't run free GPS software. but i think the exact answer is just.. you simply CANNOT if you want the gps for free.
