i'm still choosing between omnia II and jet.. saw some review that omnia II is a bit laggy...and kinda out of budget for that..but jet only supports java.. tough choice

I assume Asian OS handles Chinese OK, input via Pinyin at least. How about Japanese? Is there a kana or romaji keyboard?

it actually using A-GPS where it uses yer wifi\gprs\wap to assist the gps to acquire the satellite info
if you dont have any of those ie prepaid or not in range of your wifi
you can still get a lock but a bit slower
try activating r66 in an open space (not in your house\office\some car roof blocks the signal)
press the middle button to open task manager select the front screen
then go to menu->setting->phone setting->gps setiing-gps position->satellite position
you should see info on the phone getting a lock to the satellite
you need >5 satellite lock on to actually get a lock on your position

ooo..thanks...amaze gps looks cool from the features that they offer...i have installed amaze but not yet tried...coz it needs gprs data....

hye.i just bought jet 2 weeks ago.and currently encountering this problem

when i was viewing my pics,the phone suddenly displayed

NOT ENOUGH RESOURCES.TRY CLOSING SOME APPLICATIONS AND TRY AGAIN

then it shows the task manager.

when i was about to end the current application,the phone displayed

ENOUGH RESOURCES RESERVED.CONTINUE CLOSING APPLICATIONS? yes/no

although i select no,i was somehow thrown back to the menu

and further more, there were no other running applications when i was viewing my pics.

aiyo.very risau la.

have anyone encountered this?please share ur view

try pressing the center button about two seconds. then choose 'end all applications'

perhaps some Jet owner can explain my curiosity.

I saw some Jet pic with red stripes on the back cover. Look pretty cool. Some pic don't show these stripes. How does it work? a call will light up those stripes or just reflector?

it is just a reflector,it depends which angle are you looking at,you will see those red stripes.

lol the red stripes are from the back cover's material. (i call it a bbq grill)

haha true..i just bought jet few days ago @rm1500 so far quite impressed with it,but my firmware is DXIF7 and the etiquette pause and speaker call function are not working although i have enabled it in the menu:( ,does anyone using the s8003DXIG firmware able to use those 2 functions?
and still could not find a good gps software for this jet ....

where u bought for rm1500? what's included in the package?
i think u can forget about gps software for now. even if u find it, there is no malaysian map for it. the reason i'm considering this phone is because of reasonable price, not too big, & good still/video cam

bought in in lowyat plaza and it includes phone,batt,earphone,handsfree,cd,pouch,charger,usb cable.
i tried amaze map is is quite good,but not stable and difficult to get gps signal.Maybe because i am using samsung eternity version(no official samsung jet version for amaze gps),which might not so compatible.
