add me, i help.

and your best bet with a stick is still the HRAP 3.
you dun have to mod it. the stick is already sanwa, and the hori buttons arent bad at all.

if you dun feel happy with the buttons, then only you mod it.
but i can tell you this much, if you are a semi casual player, changing the buttons the sanwa wont feel a bit of difference for you.
so get the stick, before you become better, and able to FEEL the need to change the buttons, just stick to the stock ones.

the TE stick is for ppl who are dedicated, and have extra cash. otherwise it's not necessary.

I think like normal arcade style.

I know but, maybe pros outthere use another style of key mapping that would be easier to do FADC / throw biggrin.gif

i don't think those pros are using any kind of special kep mapping for play...

most of the big tourney are held with cabinet machines and they can't change the button mapping to their liking..so your best bet is still the normal arcade style button mapping....

I might get that hori arcade stick maybe next month or in a few months time.

Need to try to play Street Fighter 4 using arcade stick. I have been using the keyboard thus far.

Yup HRAP3 is indeed the best stick among the budget, as what the users said.
I'm trying to find an alternative way and see can save up by a bit or not lor.

I've googled sikit about the Hori SF4 stick, and according to those users, its actually HRAP3 with a sticker only.
So if both are the same, I might as well get the Hori SF4, cause I can get it under RM300.

You have to be careful here. The Hori HRAP3 SF4 edition with the SF4 artwork has a drawback. The buttons come soldered onto the PCB. It's VERY hard to change the buttons if you intend do to so at a later date. The normal HRAP3 comes with quick disconnects, which you can easily just plug out when you want to change the buttons.

In official competition, no mapping is allowed. Those pros do not use mapping. It's okay for casuals to use mapping. However, I do not encourage it cause it builds a very bad habit of relying on these mapping. In the event you want to join a local competition, you will surely not get used to playing without mapping.

Use Akuma and finish the arcade once. THEN AFTER THAT use Akuma (not sure bout other char) to finish arcade mode with (4~5?)Ultras, (2~4?)Perfects, 5 First Hit, and use NO continue

You have to complete once with Akuma.

After that, use any character you have already completed with.

Set arcade settings to very easy + 1 round.

Then do the above.. 1 perfect, 5 first hits, no continues and that 4-5 ultra finishes sounds about right. I unlocked Gouken using Ryu.

Actually soldering isn't a big problem to me.
And I heard that HRAP3 buttons are good enough.
Still on budget mode, have to think carefully before buying anything.
