save yourself the headache and just get a captive breed juvinile afs.
it is much more rewarding.
no worth the trouble to get a WC specimen but it's full of parasites.
in a worse case scenario, what ever parasites it have can be spread to you tarantula collection.

we keep the adults for breeding purposes. if your just getting an adult specimen for display purposes then it is not right.
it is not in my power to stop you but ethically it is not right.

put them in air tight container an pump pure oxygen till the oxygen saturation in the container reaches 100%.
give them a lot of food and keep humidity in check. and maybe just maybe you can get something like brontoscorpio.

before we answer we need to know where did you get it from?
because it looks like a spinifer and if you got it in the peninsular then it probably is.
if you got it in the borneo island most probably it is a longimanus.
but it looks like a h.spinifer.

sad news. the mother of the first brood has joined her brood in heaven. found her lifeless today at a corner of the enclosure. poor thing. i didn;t even name her yet. the cause of death i would most likely contribute to incomplete birth. comparing her to the other female which have given birth she is still fat and looks like there are still embryos in her. only will know after an autopsy is done which i'm still thinking of doing it or not.
i don;t want to post pictures of her. it makes me emotional when seeing them.
whole brood and mother lost.

Hmmm. interesting fact there rideon.
your female also ate her whole brood and died after that. mine ate most of her brood and died.
is there a link? does anyone had a female that ate her whole brood and died?(focusing on spinifers but other sp are welcome too).

forgot to add. i got m y self pinch by a spinifer yesterday and to compare it to a longimanus pinch, the longimanus pinch is much, much painful compared to a spinifer and the pinch time is like endless.
spinifer they just pinch and let go.
