Added on July 13, 2009, 1:15 amtake the infected one away from others.. they might migrate to others... quarantine it.. This post has been edited by rideon: Jul 13 2009, 01:15 AM |

from ur description i can tell its mites.
all u cn do is quaratine the scorp from all ur collection. scrape and burn the one u can and tomoror do the same with vaseline. and watch ur scorps behaviour.. and obviously update us. If any signs of weakening try to give food and water. if the mites still there u could try again or give it to some one who has the equipment to do such surgery.. mine was full of mites.. so ur not the only one. I know how u feel... |

Arr... Pretty much confirm its mites now
Juz leave it in the container, u can add substrate but bone dry coco fiber with a water dish inside if im nt mistaken When prolong usually the mites will dry of dehydration or drown in water dish But i prefer another method which is scrap them away using vaseline and cotton bud This post has been edited by RyoKenzaki: Jul 13 2009, 01:57 AM |

i'm sorry man. what i can see there is mites...
those pics to me confirm its mites.. coz i had the same prob. dont place ur scorp in an empty container place some thin layer of substrate on it. and leave it be. u either can scrape some off and burn them or leave till u get vaseline tomoz. oh if u decide to make some surgery on ur scorp, dont place it on the same container with the same subs. change to a new subs and clean ur container then place ur scorp in. dont panic... we cn help u on this issue. Added on July 13, 2009, 2:00 amcrape them off with paper.. then afterwards burn the paper. i really hate those mites. if only we can find some springtails.. oh yeah water dish kinda a good idea. the scorp may notice the mites are on him, so they dunk them self in for hours to drown the mites... that could work.. or the opposite.. Swt surgery pulak, sound so serious
I suggest leave it now, if scrap later they get off on the substrate or floor or outside the tank susah a bit Use vaseline can stick them on it easily and drown them But be very careful not to apply on the booklung |
