Hi all I m newbie here.....I bought my i phone 3gs 16gb from non Maxis shop...but there r wearing Maxis T-Shirt...I got my warrantly card as well...Somemore it free 500mb a month...I ald reach 500mb...and it still can on9...can anyone tell me is it because of GPRS...i cant turn if off...They is a E word on the top left of the screen...I m using Prepaid...my current usage is 752mb received and 30.8mb send....i check *100# my balance not even minus a cent as it stated if exceed more than 500mb it will charge u 0.5/kb...NEED SOME ADVICE HERE!!!

i'm curious as well. with v3.1.3 which is unable to jailbreak at the moment, how could the data be turn off ? other than calling Maxis to blacklist u but since you have a 500mb free per month, i guess u just have to cut down ur usage. The charges are 1mb = rm10 if you exceeded the limit.

So it mean 752mb-500mb=252mb..I need to pay RM 252??!!!!.....When i at my company they is a E word on the top left of my i phone screen...when i reach my hostel it turn to O capital...What does it mean...?!Or it will minus after next month free 500mb again minus 252mb=248mb left??

they wont minus from your next months usage... they will charge you. i think its 1 sen per kb or something like that

the "E" is the EDGE network.

if 1MB =RM10, your 252MB will be RM2520, higher than the price of your iPhone!!! well, i read somewhere the maximum Maxis will charge is RM250, if i remember correctly..

but since your balance still not affected, then it might be something else.

i think since he's on prepaid it's quite safe to say Maxis will not be able to charge him so much. I'm not sure Maxis got any max limit on their data usage for postpaid user.

i also have the same thought. just curious, for his case, if he was charged RM250, how Maxis can get money from him since he's using prepaid??

@_@!!!Now i cant even use my wifi..If i connect my wifi the E word still dere but not the wifi....Sometime it turn to O after i reach my home...still can on9....How anyone can tell me ^__^....If charge me more than RM 2000...then i gg jo >.<"....

you better call Maxis or check with the place where you get your iphone. but i guess the charge is not an issue since you are on prepaid.

Mine is v3.12....How come sometime can open 3G sometime cant.....And somemore bhind my iphone 3gs wrote Assembled In China Design By Apple In California... Model No:A1303..Well wen i first bought tis hp,after i reach home i saw a lot of scratches at the chrome side....hmm now i felt like a second hand hp with first hand price.....but is under Maxis warrantly...

Yeah, lucky I noticed my credit has been drained out from EDGE usage. I quickly disable my EDGE via BossPrefs and problem solved.
But the mystery remains, I checked Maxis deducted RM2 from EDGE usage ( the usage was a test to make sure maxis charge me for EDGE ) and then a few minutes later my credit bounced back and deduct over time randomly. I have a picture of it here, look at the time and balance I seriously dont know how Maxis charge people.

im interested of having the iphone lah but the price for the new iphone is like my monthly salary!
so thought of maxis iphone and i think they have installment right?
now im a hotlink user for like 5 years now(or more)..


so i been thinking can i apply for that iphone?
do i need to change my prepaid plan to post paid plan so that i could be eligible to buy the iphone?
what are the requirement to have the iphone ya? i mean how to have it by instalment..
do there any downpayment for the first month?
and how much basically do i need to pay every month? around rm300 to rm400?
anyone can help me with this?
do i need a credit card? i dont have one so is there any other way to have it??


ive went to the maxis website but i cannot understand lah..
want to go to the maxis center but i rarely got time lah due to work..

well bro...I would prefer you to go to maxis center and settle your doubt...anyway..there two types of plan for iPhone..where one is ivalue plan..where it give a monthly commitment,free mins of calls,SMS,data...the phone price is ranged in what plan you take..also with this plan you can also apply the 0% installment plan with your cc but here you need to pay some extra money(overpayment) which will refunded to you by the coming five months...another plan is data plan...this only gives data..and varies the phone price..here there is no overpayment or stuff..and there is 0% installment plan too... But if you purchase with cc then you can also call the bank and make your iPhone payment in installment...any thing futher try checking out with maxis.. There would changes which I don't know..thanks

well bro the application will process asap but getting the phone...depends in the stock.anyway you don't néed much money depends much apps you need to get...

u can get it on the spot but depends on the stock or else u need to wait till the stock arrives.

btw when u get your salary, just transfer it to your maybank la. they will deduct automatically.
