QUOTE Juve exit dismays Ferrara Juventus manager Ciro Ferrara insists his side had few excuses after slumping to a 4-1 home loss to Bayern Munich which ended their progress in this season's Champions League competition. The Old Lady needed just one point to progress at the Germans expense and after David Trezeguet opened the scoring, they looked to be on their way. But the Bundesliga giants stormed back with goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt's penalty restoring parity. Second half goals from Ivica Olic, Mario Gomez and Anatoliy Tymoshchuk ended the contest as the Bianconeri were put to the sword. Ferrara said: "It's a huge disappointment not only for myself but for the players and for the fans. To leave this competition hurts. "But in the last two games of the Champions League we have taken zero points. "We're not good at holding on to a draw. Bayern were superior in terms of sharpness, tactics and technique - we created very little." sos The red bold part... So he knew it at the first place. Then why did he want to settle for a draw/protecting the lead/camping in the own half during the remaining 45min? Why don't just go for a gamble all attacking like leonardo did with milan against catania? Bcoz he is defensive-anti football favored coach who don't want to play for a win instead want to play for a not-to-lose |

Hmmm...Do you think Hiddink will be a good choice to replace Ferrara temporarily? Since he has nothing to do now with Russia out of WC next year

QUOTE(SnoWFisH @ Dec 11 2009, 11:48 AM) Hmmm...Do you think Hiddink will be a good choice to replace Ferrara temporarily? Since he has nothing to do now with Russia out of WC next year poll voting in goal.com consist of Hiddink,Benitez,Eriksson,Schuster,Mancini..most of the vote went to Hiddink. If it was me i would want Hiddink @ Rijkaard in our team..but some things was not as simple as ABC. Hiddink might be free now but i heard he had some agreement with abramovich/chelsea. diego news btw i found its some kind weird dat some of the comment from so called juve faithful put most of the blame on Diego. Saying that his skill, shooting, set pieces has been poor. Yes it maybe half true but if i remember correctly most of our goals this season come from diego set-pieces. And did u noticed how different diego play when he has fast player(Gio) partnering him rather then some slow player<insert name here> Useless overpriced amauri didn't score single goal for a year and he's still starting for us. And i feared dat if diego unhappy with current situation..he would opt to leave..same case with Gio. And imo we should be glad diego chose us over all the club dat approach him. Players like diego could play at any club in the world esp the likes of real madrid @ barca. Shame on those fans who flamed him |

Well, seems like Roberto Mancini might end up being Ciro's replacement as he's out of job right now.
For the match against Bari, I'll say drop Buffon for Alex. Buffon is still in pain and Alex need to gain back his touch after he din't play for so long. Our DM are definitely Poulsen and Marc. Melo is suspended and Momo still injured I think. I hope Ciro will play Gio-Diego-Camo supported trez this time. Let ADP rest, and come on as a super-sub Seems like Pandev is on the transfer-list. Maybe we can grab him? This post has been edited by SnoWFisH: Dec 11 2009, 05:06 PM |

right...camo-diego-gio trio is a must for this game.
As i mention before diego play more comfortably When player similar to him like gio partnered him. I think juve was 'too slow' for diego la...hahaha About the atcking departmnt..i think we definetly in desperated need of some sort of striker to add to the team depth. Pandev could be a good signing considering he's free agent & used to serie a style. Once more..with weak management like we have right now... I doubted |

No camo, no ADP, no Gio, no Grosso. How to win? Expect Trez and Diego alone to attack meh?
Defence got Molinaro (Legro no choice la, he's way better than the other defenders), MF got Tiago, how to attack? Ciro is really going out in style |

erm..i remember he said few days ago Juve gonna bounce back in style against Bari.
Well dats half true bcoz were just got bumped(not bounced) in "style" against Bari. Dats why i went sleepy when i saw those sh*t 4-3-1-2 and go to slept oledi when juve were 0-1 down. So mr ciro. Resignation is more gentlemen look than gettin sack. SO ur know the drill |

obviously this game will put soo much pressure on the players, and ciro himself. and keep in mind that they're playing away, which is why i think they didnt grab a win.
relax dude, milan also had a few poor results, the diff is that milan face it in the early season (but who knows how long milan will run their good form right?) have faith mate |

i dono for sure. I'd turn off my pc as soon as we conceded the 1st goal. Haha for this team to come back from behind as long as ciro the coach..
I don't think so. This guy too afraid to attack. If were down by one goal, all he's gotta do was make sure we don't lose by another couple of goals. Or if were leading by a goal...then he will ask players to sit back and defend the one goal lead. If u guys remember la, how many time this season dat if juve we're behind then we ended up winning? Nope. The last time we're behind and end up drawing was the 1-1 vs fiorentina. Called ranieri the bad coach..and he create one of our record for wrong reason. If u remember the 2months winless streak. But atleast our most heavy defeat last season in nothing more than 1-0 @ 2-1. While this season were already got trash more than 4 goals. Yeah i think ciro was a right man...TO BRING US BACK TO SERIE B. Or turn juve into a mid table team. Haha can u imagine during the Lippi era the team like juve got schooled by the likes of cagliari/bari? Really missed to good ol' days when the likes of Ravanelli,Vialli,Baggio were succeeded by Zidane,Inzaghi,Davids,Jugovic and after that succeeded by Nedved,Thuram,Camo,Buffon. I think were like going backward from the balanced minded team to the ultra defensive team since Don Fabio became our manager. At least were played much in serie B with the likes of young guns like Paro, Chiellini, Palladino, Piccolo combined with the veteran like Trez,ADP,Nedved,Camo better than crap we have today. And of coz Deschamps was great as our coach. Dono why this stupid management let him go and replace us with some "backwards compatibility". And by the way here's another insult to injury. Almiron must be laughing real hard when he's score the goal against the club dat didn't want him at the first place lol |

In that match, Ciro shouldnt have played buffon. Clearly he wasn't fit and his movement seems very restricted because of his knee injury. Shouldn't he let Manniger to start playing so that he can regain back some match fitness?
We lack direction la. 4-3-1-2 will not work. Tried and tested. Ciro please go back to 4-2-3-1, and rotate the strikers. There's only 2 strikers now and 1 backup atm, certainly rotation isn't a bad idea? Right now, I'm hoping Iaquinta recovers asap. At least he can dribble and create more trouble in the box. |

Take a look at marchisio..We lack direction la. 4-3-1-2 will not work. Tried and tested. Ciro please go back to 4-2-3-1, and rotate the strikers. Hope there's will be a change before we started the europa league campaign. Those suckass management + ciro just keep repeating the same swansong like "we're gonna bounced back"..."we'll be back stronger".."give ciro sometimes"..."in ciro we trust..". Poodah! Yeah..in Ciro i trust.. THAT WE'RE GONNA TRASHED & CRASHED ONCE AGAIN IN EUROPA LEAGUE. Nope..wait a minute...with this kind of tactics/players/mentalities.. we're gonna out from coppa italia real soon...let alone going far in europa league |

Zenit did have some kind of special bond with italian league eh? i remember
they did want to appointed ranieri as their head coach. Oso earlier this season they did bid for Iaquinta(thx goodness he didn't leave) and now they has another italian as their coach. Nyway wat's next for our beloved team. I don't want to see us keep become more & more laughing stock of a team across europe. Heard dat claude-blanc said dat ciro will stay with us until the end of the season. Great²..... |

Its time to put immobile in the field. Diego needs intelligent, quick players for him to pass to. The only quick targetman we have is Iaquinta and he's out injured now. Immobile should do the trick as I see him playing style resemble Torres a bit.
