hi surfnux, the prices here are the Retail Price which would be same with anywhere. But I might be able to quote you cheaper price or with free gifts if you could tell me what model you're interested.

Erm, I'd like to correct a small mistake - The Sony Clie UX50 retail is RM2,499, instead of RM2,488.

It's only going to be on sale this coming 10th October but I already played with the first demo unit. It's kinda cool. Looks exactly like a shrink-down tablet PC where you can rotate the screen (simliar to NX90) and also the camera which again is rotatable. Now, this new Clie has something special. It has a small dock which is an extended battery. Dock it to get extra battery life! The other thing that impressed me is that this baby has a USB port which enables you to connect it directly to your computer, instead of the 2-in-1 port. The really only thing I don't like so far is the small screen.

Early impression:
Pros > wifi, bluetooth, camera, extended battery dock, VirtualGraffiti, QWERT keyboard, built-in USB port!
Cons > small screen, thick when docked with extended battery

netboy,

sure it's that expensive? shouldn't be that high-priced tho.. i mean the Tungsten T3.. if i'm not mistaken it's pricing should range between RM1400-1600.. don't hit back at me tho, cuz from another forum.. i think that's the price they got their hands on, not sure if they got it from singapore or some other sources..

Hi there,
not netboy here but I been researching about palm's pda cuz wanna get one also. My budget also same like you.
Here is what I can conclude about the PDAs that falls in nicely within the budget.

Sony SJ22 or the new Tungsten|E - both same price (RM788)
SJ22 comes with color, 16MB and only 33MHz processor.
SJ22 is a very capable handheld with a fantastic screen.
But now with Tungsten|E, I'm holding my breath..since the specs are much better in a same price.
But you might want to wait a while if you are getting the Tungsten|E to wait for more reviews about it or for netboy to test it out smile.gif

Personally, I prefer Palm than Sony.
Sony maybe better in Multimedia stuffs, such as screen display, sound.. etc.
But it can only use Memory Stick which is still not widely use as SD card and cost more if compared price/capacity.

agree with bbjslee.. downfall with the Tungsten | E if i'm not mistaken is the non-universal connector? i read somewhere that it's not using a universal connection therefore unable to use certain devices like the keyboard..

BTW, just found out that the new Tungsten may have an issue of frying the SD cards. Sounds crazy..

BTW, will the SJ22 price drop further? I like its small durable form. The new TJ25 (launched same time as Tungsten E), looks promising. The price looks good, around RM800.
