i notice a small bald spot among the quills ...super heartache and now looking for vet ...

i sourced and found Dr Jenny's and Dr Yeoh's vet nearest to my area (bandar utama) ... but suggie thread and vet list thread have different address for Dr. Jenny ... can anyone provide me an accurate address?

ps: does frontline spray helps getting rid of mites? or take the jab better?
*
Dr Jenny was no longer in hands & paws..she's now at MyVet. I went there to look for her just last week.

how shud i feed my hedgie water n food?? it seems tat he keep mess thg up.. T^T  n he push everythg out.. he jus lyk 2 destroy stuff..
*
do u use water bottle or feeding bowl??it's better to use water bottle cuz it's cleaner and won't easily mess up than feeding bowl...

for food just use those clay feeding bowl cuz it's heavier and won't easily flip over...

i tried both.. wen i use feedin bowl, he jus push everythg in2 d bowl.. but wen i use  feedin bottle, he jus pull out d front part which is glass.. as using metal feedin bottle is not advisable..

so sad, my hedgie been not feeling well, last week he was so naught and overturn everything .. this week he just stay in his bungalow and didnt even finish his food .... gonna bring him to vet today since his mite drop treatment is also due today ...

after inspection by dr jenny, she say my hedgie's front leg abit swollen ... maybe play too much till injure itself .... btw how u guys litter train ur hedgies? ... i got one small 'plate' that ppl used to put under the flower pot, everyday i put some of the fresh poo there ...
*
just keep putting its poo in the litter box until ur hedgie know how to poo at the place often...better put some bedding inside the litter box to absorb its pee...

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Jun 29 2010, 09:33 AM)
It is normal for hedgehog to have watery stool when changing food.... but innova catfood is too high in protein. Why dogfood is recommended by Dr Jenny is that cats are carnivours, they eat only meat. Dogs are omnivours, they eat both meat and plants. So dog food protein level is lower and hedgehog is an omnivour. So dogfood has the plant matter that is needed by hedgehog.

Why people recommend cat food is because the taste and smell is better, hedgehogs like it. Then catfood comes in smaller pieces than dogfood. And RC comes in small packs... so that's one of the reasons. Normally cat food always have small packs available. But now dogfood also got tiny or small bites. I'm now using Artemis small bite, mixing with a bit of the RC I have left. During Pet Expo I got plenty of sample packs that can last my hedgehogs for 6 months. And I choose what I get, I manage to get 2 packs of 1.5kg Nutram small bite dogfood, samples of Natural Balance, Artemis and Eaglepack.

To avoid buying wrong food, get sample packs.... can last you a few months if you mix and match a few sample packs.
*
hi hun, which type of dog food is better??puppy level??adult level??or....??

Hi has anyone bring your hedgehog to Cameron Highlands?
Due to cold temperature there, is it possible to prevent the hedgehog from hibernating?
What temperature is considered borderline cold??

Tough questions that need some help from pros here
*
it's better not to bring them to travel cuz will stress them...if u not away for long, it's ok to leave them at home with enuf water and food...

But it would surely be a cool experience for him and me... hmm.gif  rclxub.gif  wink.gif
*
ya..they not used to travel and will get car sick like vomitting...better pass to someone to look after ur hedgie than bring him along..
