i suggest u to remove the grill and put substrate inside the litter box...
Perhaps the substrate can be old newspapers as suggested by some members...
quite easy to clean up icon_rolleyes.gif ...provided your hedgie didnt try to chew or tear the newspaper apart  sweat.gif
*
i think cannot put newspaper cuz he like to go under the newspaper...i think use wood shave is ok??

yup that's another option..i think natural (without scent) wood shave will do. thumbup.gif
just that some people said wood shave can promote mites inhabitant... sweat.gif
*
i'd been using the wood shave and pellets as bedding b4 i got the litter box anyway...i tried to take out the grill but very hard to take out...
