That room actually got other tenants, suggie but they r not in my photo. Whole room I use it for my hedgie to run freely, put some plastic ball, toilet roll, shuttlecock tube. But I never potty-train them so end up cleaning SHxT everyday . Some of my fren said i'm crazy and out of mind to give the whole room to animal haha

Probably u need to potty train in the cage 1st, in wide open area i think difficult a bit. Rex is always poop in one corner inside container but when I let him free in the room he will poop pee everywhere . Haha Noodles got long spike on forehead and big ear just like my Rex

No lah, gutload mealworm with oats not feeding hedgehog with oat...

Wah snowflake salt & pepper, I need to extra charge u liao ! Syu just gave birth to 3 hoglets this morning (I think so 3...)

Sometimes kinda hard to tell the color especially for those non-typical color.

Would like to share my FRESH hoglets 1 day photo.

Theoretically, it's not advisable to disturb the mother. However since I know Syu's temperament so it's not a problem for me to take the picture. I just turn of the shutter sound on my lousy 1.3M camera phone b4 taking the picture.... But I won't touch the hoglets b4 2-3 weeks times, too risky!





Hedgie has strong front leg compare to hind leg, looks very powerful

Hmm... seems like there's 2 snp and 1 albino on this 3rd batch... Can see the skin is darker for hoglet in the right and center.




Syu is back to jail (my 2 feet container) for 2 months... I din put hiding box in the container so that I can easily observe the hoglets... I put a office carpet under the container to prevent cold floor temperature reaching the young.



Syu looks exhausted after giving birth ... Just imagine how hard it is to give birth to a single human child and poor Syu giving birth to 3... not to mention 5 for 1st and 2nd batch... Will "gut load" Syu with mealworm and superworm in next week.

Yup, Rex is their father.

In fact I was thinking that Popay could be platinum. For platinum I think could go up to Rm1k+ base on what I see from foreign website. One good thing here is that dun required license to breed or keep .

LOL u got good imagination! I was thinking anything that look quite similar to them. Thorny tongue LOL

Bad news in the morning... Syu cannibalize one of the babies...

I was wake up in 3am this morning and I heard a loud squeak from down stair so I went down to check out what has happened. I saw Syu bite one of the hoglet's head in her mouth and the hoglet is squeaking. I thought she was tranfering the hoglets from one corner to the other so I din stay there and watch instead I went back to bed.

In 7am I go check again, there's onli 2 hoglets left! There is no blood trail nor carcass left in the container! So the hoglet must be cannibalize by Syu

Very good for the DIY wheel save a lot of $$$ too . Shouldn't be any problem keeping them in air cond room, wah u give luxury room to them better than my room wor . Don't think they will hibernate in air cond room, if u worry then just put fleece blanket for them lor.

Yup, with warm water pls and dun bath too long

The other hoglet die three days after that incident now only left 1 albino hoglet. I really no idea what happen to Syu... just hope the only one could hav survive...

Just back home, found the last hoglet also gone ... So stress to see the carcass... so the 3rd batch all gone...

If share more picture here then that will be great! I believe ppl prefer to look at picture rather than to read, beside that it will also help those beginner and future-hedgie owner to hav a better view on it.

my Rex drink less compare to Syu. Syu drinks a lot especially during pregnant and nursing time

make sure ur kibbles are "chicken flavour" instead of "ocean fish flavour". Some other food like u mention better offer as a treat or else if they addicted then they will not interested on ur kibble anymore...

Haha I'm from Klang also . Go get IAMS or RC, get 1kg will be enuf, cost around RM30-35 onli nia.

Now I got 4 hedgie mah, some more during last 2 batch, those baby hoglets really eat like pig!

If u onli keep a pair or single then definitely get 400g would be enuf so that to keep them fresh. Anyone try the kibble b4? Smell good but dunno taste good or not

Step on??? OMG not this SHXT again, they my eventually died being step on by mother... Hope they will make it....
