QUOTE(senzr @ Aug 13 2009, 05:44 PM) What's wrong with emulators??? heeey.... that's almost like me...Haha...I played it waaay back, too. And I went to great lengths to get my sf2 fix. Got busted by cops for being underage in the arcades. Skipped school, sneaked out of the house at 1am. Ran into trouble with gangsters. Picked up smoking. Luckily didn't pick up 'ma kei'...haha. Bought the chinese magazines with the move lists, even though I couldn't read it. Read the comics. Drew sagat doodles in my exercise books. Then my dream came true...SSF2 came out on mega drive! I would have never left the house, but my parents banned me from playing except for weekends. So I stayed up till on fri nites till midnight ngam ngam...then turned on my mega drive. Those 6 button sega pads were really good, too. The d-pad was waaay better for fighting games than the PS3/360 controllers of today. Stopped playing after alpha 3 and X-men vs SF in '99. Fast forward to Feb 2009...and it's happening all over again... the problem is, i did pick up "ma kei" the music is still ringing in my ears if u know wat i mean. all the gangsters and smoking and skipping school and nabbed by police also same... but i play sf4 at home on SNES... forced my dad to get me one... hahaha Added on August 13, 2009, 9:36 pm QUOTE(bleached_4ever @ Aug 13 2009, 06:00 PM) i've skipped school 3 day per week just to lepak at Sg Wang/Pertama Complex to play SF2 ... that time bf PMR ... yayaya.... i remember kena tapau by addicts and gangsters as well...known to the teachers as the 'ponteng' & 'lambat masuk kelas' student ... heck even skipped 2 periods before coming to school and 'buat bodo' when prefect chased at the front gate ... luckily score ... n the teachers just ignore me after that ... stopped playing SF2 once went to boarding school ... if not 'makan SF, tido SF, gilfren SF' last time, when ppl say 'kena tapau' ... it meant being ask money from the drug addict at the arcades ... hehehe .. wow ... good old days ... sure bring alot of memoirs ... now ... my wifey keep nagging for attention once i hook up to SF4 ... wat to do ... wow, now i realized i'm not alone... hahaha your wifey as in you're married as well? same here too... man, a group of grumpy old men here... QUOTE(rawfish @ Aug 18 2009, 03:30 PM) Useless information, R1 = R3. I had R3 and was halfway through with all the unlocking stuff when my R1 came. The R3 save game loaded perfectly when the R1 disc was inserted. Din know that...R2 is in an entirely different world... Not entirely useless information coz i'm playing R3 now but playasia currently selling R1 for around rm170 oni... Tempted.... This post has been edited by hanz079: Aug 18 2009, 03:32 PM |

QUOTE(boogalogist @ Aug 21 2009, 08:43 AM) That's cause the HRAP3 and TE stick (or any other stick in the market) comes in square gate. Most asian arcades' stick uses square gate. American arcades uses octagonal gate. If you like, you can just easily swap out the stick's square gate for octagonal gate. Agreed In the beginning, normally pad users prefer to use pad even if they have a stick. The stick is not something that you can pick up overnight. Arcade guys have been using them since their early teens and are more used to it. Console guys more used to the pad. However, after the pad user uses the stick for about 2 weeks and get more aquainted with it, they'll go like "How could I ever think that the pad is better than the stick?!". This is provided the stick you're using is not those crappy stick...but those with Sanwa parts. |

QUOTE(rawfish @ Aug 27 2009, 09:03 AM) All done via Tsuji-links right? Can I confirm if the walking RD is just the faster cancelling of fwd+strong? Because I get that if I did it too fast, before the chop-chop comes out. I dunno but i've tried doing it with forward mid punch,If the execution is fast enuf, you can't even see the mid punch come out... I haven't fully tried but if i'm not mistaken, a reflex jump is all it takes to avoid... |

Actually regarding turtle and gung-ho, sometimes when playing wif frens, gung-ho is the best...
Play juz to have some fun and some laughs... When it comes to play for the WIN, turtle is an effective strategy but sometimes wat might look like turtling is actually playing safe and wait for mistakes and return punishment... In my case, i always dive in head first, that's why i've already accepted the fact and my sparring partners all concur, is that i will never become a tournament player... And i'm actually alrite with that coz i play sf4 purely for the fun i get when playing online or with frens offline... have a few laughs, down a few cold ones and marvel at the "like that also can ar?" moments... |

QUOTE(Damonzero @ Sep 7 2009, 08:58 AM) Morning guys, noob questions, Did you complete the game using akuma first?i try to unlock gouken with the instruction on 1st page, but still cant unlock him, i missed something? and what is personal action? and you have to perfect 3 rounds and ultra 3 times if i'm not mistaken The safest way is dun do super, only ultra, if not, akuma might appear in d end and not gouken... Personal action is taunt |

QUOTE(rawfish @ Sep 8 2009, 12:45 AM) Congrats! Very happy for you. I didn't make it in time too, so there's no loss. Very glad other people get to buy this great stick at a great price. At RM350 each it's a real steal. It's just like the Fry's Electronics's bargain @ US89+ they had in the States. So be proud of your purchase, and don't feel bad slamming the damn thing with whichever character you play with - it's built to last! *looks at keen2keen* Huh? k2k slam joysticks meh?More importantly, these things are not limited too. So everyone can buy them. Asian non-SF4 versions are coming soon too. ![]() Damn I love this picture. Playing with him and looking at his playstyle makes me thinks he's cool as ice?? hahaha... but nevermindlah... TE is built to last... Anyway, anyone here knows wether the ps3 TE stick will work with the pc? Thanks |

Woa... that Yeb is awesome with Gen...
I remember first seeing him at Evo09 then me and Phyurix were checking out some videos on Youtube and we were like eyes wide open... Then Phyurix practiced with gen and he got the combos down pretty well... As for Yeb, comparing with evo09, i think he improved alot strategy wise... Any Gen user deserves respect man... he's a tough character to use... |
