What's wrong with emulators???

Haha...I played it waaay back, too. And I went to great lengths to get my sf2 fix. Got busted by cops for being underage in the arcades. Skipped school, sneaked out of the house at 1am. Ran into trouble with gangsters. Picked up smoking. Luckily didn't pick up 'ma kei'...haha. Bought the chinese magazines with the move lists, even though I couldn't read it. Read the comics. Drew sagat doodles in my exercise books.

Then my dream came true...SSF2 came out on mega drive! I would have never left the house, but my parents banned me from playing except for weekends. So I stayed up till on fri nites till midnight ngam ngam...then turned on my mega drive. Those 6 button sega pads were really good, too. The d-pad was waaay better for fighting games than the PS3/360 controllers of today.

Stopped playing after alpha 3 and X-men vs SF in '99.

Fast forward to Feb 2009...and it's happening all over again...

i've skipped school 3 day per week just to lepak at Sg Wang/Pertama Complex to play SF2 ... that time bf PMR ... 

known to the teachers as the 'ponteng' & 'lambat masuk kelas' student ... heck even skipped 2 periods before coming to school and 'buat bodo' when prefect chased at the front gate ...

luckily score ... n the teachers just ignore me after that ... stopped playing SF2 once went to boarding school ... if not 'makan SF, tido SF, gilfren SF'

last time, when ppl say 'kena tapau' ... it meant being ask money from the drug addict at the arcades ... hehehe ..

wow ... good old days ... sure bring alot of memoirs ...

now ... my wifey keep nagging for attention once i hook up to SF4 ... wat to do ...

Useless information, R1 = R3. I had R3 and was halfway through with all the unlocking stuff when my R1 came. The R3 save game loaded perfectly when the R1 disc was inserted.

R2 is in an entirely different world...

That's cause the HRAP3 and TE stick (or any other stick in the market) comes in square gate. Most asian arcades' stick uses square gate. American arcades uses octagonal gate. If you like, you can just easily swap out the stick's square gate for octagonal gate.
In the beginning, normally pad users prefer to use pad even if they have a stick. The stick is not something that you can pick up overnight. Arcade guys have been using them since their early teens and are more used to it. Console guys more used to the pad. However, after the pad user uses the stick for about 2 weeks and get more aquainted with it, they'll go like "How could I ever think that the pad is better than the stick?!". This is provided the stick you're using is not those crappy stick...but those with Sanwa parts.

It's just like the Fry's Electronics's bargain @ US89+ they had in the States.
