@king83: wow I got recorded. lol I had a laugh watching the video. So many mistakes I made.. hey please la dont make me sound like a pro, cause I'm really not. Quite a bit of people out there can beat me easily, you're gonna make a lot of people out there overestimate me!
Anyway, knee drop to 360 is easy. Just make sure the knee land right on the top of their head. Not only will the dude have no time/direction to shoryuken but if you do it that way then there will be a half-second delay so the guy will get out of block-stun just in time to get tagged by the 360 which is done as soon as i touch the floor. It can be avoided if you jump though.
Your friend's Ryu is good though I think he could benefit more from learning how to zone with fireballs and ryu's normal kicks. Fight TristanX, you'll know what I mean. And don't simply jump in!

@Kenny: yeah, I'm on and off these days. Let me see if I can appear tonight. Haven't fought you in a while.

Alvin is that you?! Or is Quist using your account somehow?

If its you, don't do that again. Kimochi warui shakehead.gif

Btw, Alvin, your list seems to be full, I can't add you. And I need to get that network cable too. Played Chucky on wireless and it wasn't pretty.

But Balrog looks fun! He's black, he's big and he laughs when he headbutts ppl! Maniacal! Chances are I'm sticking with Abel for next month's thing but after that... not sure.

@ Brastel: What's your take on Abel? He's good IMO on a scale which match-up tiers can't really gauge but to me the fact remains that at least 1/3 of the cast have some sort of distinct advantage over him. I think it must be even more apparent when you're playing against some of the top players in Japan.

@ Darkstalker: Oh ho.. Cammy... mmmm... Hitting her with Ultra puts me in a nice "spot" and getting hit by her Ultra gives me a nice view.... WIN/WIN in my books!
*
Dude I have to put up a struggle to win your Abel, and I use Gief! I'd say you're crazy if you're thinking of switching but then again if you can apply your awesomeness with Abel to the rest of the cast, I'd say why not. Balrog's a good choice, not much bad matchups, hard hitting pokes, but you know.. Nick(Hatred) uses Balrog, Jay uses Balrog, Darkstalker uses Balrog, Anthony's second character is balrog then plus you that's a lot of Balrogs laugh.gif

I think Cammy is a more interesting choice. Naked ass aside wub.gif , her cannon spike is ridiculous, her rushdown game is good, her Ultra is the only one of the console-exclusive cast that can be done in a fadc juggle and I've seen people do crazy ambiguous crossups with air cannon drill.

i will suggest on taking honda instead of Cammy. Because its similar to your Abel playstyle and new things to learn as well.
im not sure about PAds drumming consistency, ( im imagining it in my mind and i guess it works) use thumb to slide through lp, mp, and tap HP continuosly.. there you go haha)

just a suggestion

J. Hk. cr.lp to HHS is possible on pad but cr.lp to HHS alone is impossible, at least to me. After J.HK, tap on lp like a madman then switch to tapping HP after lp animation ends

LT5, teach me when to use gief's poke...
i can't find a good situation to use it

lol to be honest, for mp I just spam it within range and hope the other guy gets tagged with it. Its range is so far its abusable but try not to be so obvious or you will get a shoryuken or low counterpoke. Good if you think the guy's gonna jump. Slap him back down.

lp or cr.lp is also ok and if hit, try and combo it to mp.

low lk is good to counter low pokes (ryu's low mk, chun's low pokes)

mk I dont use that much as its actually punishable as Gief's legs stays out for a long time. But it reaches further than mp (I think) and the fact that the kick reaches out longer means the probability of hitting somene is higher but.. its unsafe.

st. hk is also a good poke as it stuffs out some moves (example: Abel's wheel kick) and if whiffed, you can straightaway piledrive an unsuspecting opponent as the move moves you forward.

Take this rumor with a HEAVY DOSE OF SALT, nothing in here has been confirmed, but things are looking slightly suspicious.

Henaki on the Shoryuken.com message boards mentioned he heard through a friend of a friend of a friend that the 10 new characters for Street Fighter IV Dash (Championship Edition) are:

From Street Fighter 2: Dee Jay and T. Hawk.
From Street Fighter 3: Dudley, Ibuki and Makoto.
From Street Fighter Alpha: Adon, Cody and Guy.
Plus two completely new characters.
He claimed this information would be revealed at, or right around the time the Tokyo Game Show takes place (Sept. 24 - 27).

Now, pretty much anyone could jump on the forums and claim these characters will be in the game, but Henaki has a solid reputation and a ways after his post was made the thread was deleted. Normally, threads are locked for stuff like this, but the current post was up to 4 or 5 pages before it was zapped.

Was it simply a mod who deleted the thread instead of locking it, or is there actually some truth to this post and it was subsequently removed?

Either way, it will be difficult to know the facts until more is confirmed from Capcom or another source, but the official Japanese Street Fighter 4 blog is said to be updated later on with new information about the game, so it's possible we may hear something soon.

Wow. Isnt 10 new ones going to overcomplicate things? There's already balancing issues with the current roster, especially with some console excusive ones being too weak, why not fix that first? I'm ok with a few new ones though ..Deejay and T.Hawk, and maybe a fresh new character should be fun. Then hopefully theyre fixing the godawful netcode and add new stuff like stages or game modes. 4-player Online Dramatic Battle anyone?

@Hatred: Yes, Rolento!

@King83: Nice pad dude. Reminds me of the Street Fighter 10th Anniversary pad I got for my PS2.
