He's a demon with Sagat. I can't compete with him, at least not with Gief.

Added on August 2, 2009, 3:14 amwhat really makes me mad is not only can he turtle well with the movelist he has, but that is even more worse with the huge life and strength. He's not like other turtlers like Akuma, Seth or Dhalsim which are forced to keep the other guy away since their low health and/or strength will kill them when someone comes close and rush them down. If you can ever break his defense(key word is IF), Sagat can just take the beating and shrug it off, then unleash twice the pain back sooner or later with a combo to Ultra. Capcom really favours the one eyed dude in SF4.

lol why are you guys calling akuma's fireballs gadouken? He doesn't learn saikyo.

Maybe I can explain it better. The ultra can be done 2 ways.
1) charge b, f, b, f+PPP or
2) charge b, f, b, f+KKK
from then on you will have to wait for the second punch of the ultra (which is the straight punch version/p) to whiff, meaning you leave it on neutral during that time, then you need to input k for the third hit and the rest of the ultra. In putting k will have Balrog do uppercuts that will connect with the enemy wheareas the straights (leaving neutral) will whiff. That's the only way to connect all of the ultra in the air.

lol the zangief was me. The ryu is all him, i cant use shotos that well. Yeah our matches at home are ryu vs gief all the way, though he sometimes use abel. He's no good at fireball wars but for that he more than make up for good rushdowns and solid links! He used to be able to do those mad Poonko-style FADC cancel combos but I think now he might be out of practice. He's more into online PC gaming.

There's Phyurix, add him. He has a damned good Gen. He occasionally plays a pro Fuerte too. BigSnakeBigSnake can also use a good Viper. But long time haven't played with him.

No dude. That Gief is right to poke him. Poking with lp or mp is one of the best ways to counter the wheelkick move. The starting animation is so long a good poke will stop him at his tracks. If he's up in the air Gief has no choice but to block (but if he has EX bar he can still use the green glove on reflex but its tough). Gief is a bad matchup for Abel I think. Abel needs to be in your face to do any damage and that's the way Gief likes it. But I've met a handful online and offline that are hard to beat.

There definitely is compared to offline play but its not big enough to harm me. And its definitely not big enough to harm you, seeing all the links you can successfully pull off.

I dunno I haven't tried it. But if it's similiar to the Sega Mega Drive gamepad like most people say it is then I'd say get it, it's one of the best. I'm already too comfortable with the PS3 joypad though. Ask King83 he has it.

wah cool down rawfish. Probably just a simple misunderstanding. Maybe he thinks you're selling EACH for RM160? Which is madness.

Hugo is the bomb. Nothing is more satisfying than parrying then Giga-ing someone to death. But no headbutt or lariat (important!), so I still prefer the Gief.
Shinjite, use Alex with SA3 for arcade mode. Build meter then do a chop or dash elbow then cancel to stungun. The stupid AI dunno how to counter, eats it every time.

Also, it's nice to know some guys that have disappeared on PSN are now active. Whatwhatinthebutt and kean hi is back, its great playing with them again.

Now hoping to play Tristan and Boogalogist next...

uh.. not too sure how to do that. I got mine by signing in steam and downloading it on my steam client. How to book for another person? Do I have to sign in Kevin's steam account? PM me how to do it and I'll see what I can do.

His Gen is really something to see. But I think overall you both are really close in skill. The only difference i see in both of you is:

1)he can use the mantis super to counter fireballs in reaction
2)he can use wall dive shenenigans better
3)you know more defensive normals that he didnt utilize (crane cr.hk as antiair, mantis cr.hp poke, crane jumping hk as antiair)

Other than that you guys play very similiarly with your super-efficient mk poke to longwinded combos and nasty crossups.

Phyurix, there's quite a bit of footage of Gen defeating Gief there too (someone called rokotsu), but too bad I've already seen it, and prepared for it!

...and on the troll issue, I think King's just fed up at everyone pushing him for buying a stick when he said many times before he prefers a pad. Maybe he went overboard with his comments but i know how he feels.

You're right, even for Gief.

I can PPP lariat his 2nd/3rd hit if he serves me the full set but if he did only the 1st one then he just blocks then hit me out of the lariat. But on the other hand, if I smell this coming I will immediately piledrive him as he blocks. So yeah its a guessing game, so I try to prevent him from doing it. I hate guessing games that aren't mine!
