Still need to win, but neither the audience nor players will enjoy it. Sagat mirror, zangief mirror, balrog mirror, dhalsim mirror all are so lame. Maybe we can vote which one is the worst.
*
I dunno about you guys, but i find mirror matches a bit "fun" biggrin.gif see who can actually outsmart the other since both players should know the characters moves and gameplays.

A little off topic;
There was once upon a time when I was playing my fav fighting game those days, the Guilty Gear Series, in the arcades. There was this fellow who kept teasing me when I played and kept on doing mirror matches with me. Most of the time I lost cause didn't want to use my main. Then suddenly I got pissed and started to use my main and he tried to mirror with me again. That didn't work and he kept on changing tokens till he started using his main character. And got humiliated in front of his girlfriend with 2 perfect straight biggrin.gif (and to be honest, taunted him throughout the match to get that tongue.gif)

Well, I do give a hand to him since he knows how to use most of the chars in the game but still, wanna tease that way started a big flame over my eyes whistling.gif

Well, the way I see it, mirror matches aren't really about knowing the character.  Rather, it becomes a wholly unique matchup.

It's not so much who knows the character better, but who knows how to fight their own character better that wins (assuming everything goes well in terms of execution and stuff).

Nice story Phyurix.  I'm the type that likes to switch around characters in games.  I'd do that in arcades, but that doesn't sound like me since I wouldn't spend more than like 2 ringgit a go. tongue.gif
*
Well, can't do much about it here. Before I had the PS3, the arcades was the only place I could get some adrenaline pumping for fun (other then doing outdoor wilderness activities biggrin.gif) Online games were fun but it takes a lot of time and thats not much a luxury after my study days.

2 ringgit is very small, most of the guys here is really into it and start to "panas panas" already, they'll keep changing tokens till can beat the fella. I was one of them also biggrin.gif

Tekken Series are the money makers at the arcades, seriously sweat.gif I've seen people change like RM5 worth of tokens in one sitting and place it infront of them to show his up for games. Once thats finished, will go change again and awaits his turn. "Ada kaki bah" we all would say drool.gif Shows the people here quite competative when it comes to that game sweat.gif

Sf4 no different recently, I had a few times for 1 token had like 20wins++ using Guile and Fei Long of all characters sweat.gif Still, some of those guys come up to me and asked how is the game supposed to be played. Tips and advice were given and we had fun talking smile.gif

Ganas man you guys, I only had late niters with Naughtz when playing SF4. My room too small to try to bring in big groups. Best is about 3 players only, any higher can fit but might break my bed biggrin.gif

bro Phuryix ... i think the same "machine type" is available in penang too smile.gif

me and few others just had some first hand experience on it hehehe

this 1 in penang is connected to a projector as well just in case too crowded and spectators can see whats happening on the machine itself ...
*
Hmm, I think that one a little bit more high tech compared to here. No projector connection and theres 2 cabinets available, just got back from there in the afternoon. A bit weird though that weekends less people compared to the weekdays around lunch time. Guess a lot f people "curi tulang" go there biggrin.gif

Some more those PTI ppl, button mashing till the buttons pop out. I've seen it before haha thats why da bosses there dun wan use those good buttons like Sanwa and Seimitsu.

Playing Guile is definitely fun, but I can't figure out how to beat k2k or phyurix with guile sad.gif
*
To be frank dude, you played a well fair Guile actually just that your not too familiar as to what kind of anti air you should play.

Air grabs are always great but that one you really have to bait your opponents to jump very well. Can't blindly jump and air grab on reaction when you see it coming. I see you use quite less c.HP as anti air, I still prefer that one compared to s.HP that you normally use but after a while I see you play its actually depending on the spacing biggrin.gif

Also, you do less pokes as Guile, I think pokes can contribute well for baiting your opponents. Situations like from his Sonic Boom, walk up to your opponents, and from there the guessing game starts. Either poke him, or bait him to jump.

QUOTE(Zangief82 @ Aug 31 2009, 09:43 AM)

phyurix i havent seen him play b4 ..but reputation damn geng..

K2k...Ryu is Imba. of course Guile will have a hard time winning him.

he has 20 consecutive wins the last time we played him online in my house.
No la dude, I'm not that geng la, always lose to Giefs only haha

Also, k2k's Ryu is actually very good. One of the most aggressive types I've played from everyone here. Very rare to play against players with that kind of gameplays biggrin.gif

I actually agree with rawfish, sometimes having a group of friends come over chit chat discussing on the sf4 game (while playing it of course smile.gif) can help you tremendously on your game. Every player can test and see what type of strategies can help and the spectating players can give views what went wrong or how you can improve. What should or should not do, also will curse you if you keep doing the same thing over and over again tongue.gif

Online game is actually good enough if your alone and theres no other players/friends joining you for a casual match. But there are times even with 4 bars there were complications with the connection (I think rawfish can vouch for that tongue.gif). Only time I had little to no trouble online was with my friend locally, we had 5 bar connection but his house is like 2 km radius away only from me biggrin.gif

All I'm saying is, if theres a chance for a group session, just go for it. Just spectating matches can help your game as you can get ideas what opponents will or will not do in it. smile.gif

Guys!

Here's how my stick look like after a swap with hasukyo's HRAP2SA's white casing. Tell me what you think. Too much white? Too simple? Someone said it's FUGLY  cry.gif
*
Make it more white, the Turbo/Home panel, buttons and balltop make it white. Then at 1 corner put you siggy or something...might look better biggrin.gif

Or maybe Black Rims+White Buttons better, so it can go with the art. Ball top still white hmm.gif
