QUOTE(mimi1986 @ Sep 4 2009, 04:21 PM) Quote: nice find. thanks. but i wish someone with p8700 cpu test it.I got to try out left 4 dead, and I can play it on maximum resolution with near max graphics no problem. I can even play it with the HDMI hooked up no problem. The awesome thing is that the laptop doesn't get hot. The area where the hot air releases is perfect. Tried out Bioshock as well, and I get occasional framerate problems, but I can play that maxed out too (maxed for the graphics card). I bought Max Payne 2 and that runs no problem. For the record I am a noob at this PC gaming. I just got what I liked on the consoles. Anyway, if anyone else knows some good games let me know. I want more good PC games. Unquote To answer 2nd part of your question, I don't think U80v sold 1 million units, yet. So it's too early to answer Added on September 4, 2009, 4:36 pm yes somebody care n shared here http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=402411 |

yeah. i tried the 9.8 catlyst and also the 9.8 3d game fix. but i find that ms driver runs more stable. and yes i use the ati ccc software. i installed the catalyst and all. but i change the driver.
driver from ati sometimes lags when i play gears of war, crysis, company of heroes. the ms driver is not prerelease anymore anyway. just released. maybe becuz the driver is actually for desktop gpu..but we mod it.. This post has been edited by GothFebrio: Sep 9 2009, 12:40 AM |

QUOTE(itanium89 @ Sep 10 2009, 11:52 AM) but U80V too slim..i worried about heat..how to go out? actually depends on how u use it iirc u got mention b4..about K40AB & K50AB u said K50AB more better interm of chasis size..so K50AB more cooler so how about U80V? but UL80V consume less power n battery lasting longer..more saving electric bill lol... higher cpu n gpu also mean produce more heat izit? if for work and stuff. and u need to use a lot in battery mode then the ul80v is the right choise for u. ^^ u80v is for gaming as it has a better gpu. thats all. |

anybody own an Asus F81Se.
i want to ask what is the highest setting that u can do without hearing cracking sound.(without srs premium software). because im using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. and even at the lowest setting 16 bits 44.1khz i can hear cracking sound(even with headphone). i never run the preinstalled vista home premium 32 bit on my lappy. cuz i format straight away after getting it...and now i dont want to reformat just to test the sound. my brother have Asus F8Sv and currently using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit also. but he can make it to the highest setting without any cracking sound. i tried many driver. the one on the disc, the one on asus website. the one on realtek website, the latest realtek 14/09/2009 driver. and now im using the microsoft driver. seems to reduce it a bit. but the cracking sound still there. and it happens even when u scroll websites.. QUOTE(Abid @ Sep 16 2009, 03:30 PM) Hi, did u install the srs premium sound software? because u wont notice the problem if u install the software.I'm using F81Se and also windows seven 32bit. i never had any sound problem except for Graphic driver/software when first trying installing windows seven, after that everything is smooth and good. -/Abid. edit: nevermind. i fixed the problem. it seems that this problem only happens in windows 7 64 bit. i use the old driver which v221. works great. no more crackling sound. QUOTE(zorex @ Sep 25 2009, 12:01 PM) if its metal finishing, dunit skin, else still need. Sharp objects will certainly scratch your shiny surface... tested with a knife. it does not scratch. even if u push it hard it will leave a deep line but the it does not scratch. scratch means the color goes off. |

QUOTE(godjai @ Sep 25 2009, 03:39 PM) ur defination of scratch really good... hahaha, but... i don know u got use few thousand to buy a lappy or not (own money, not ur father one), for me, few K buy a lappy, i wont use knife to test the anti scratch and even a single line also will make me sad. thats y ppl need transparent protector. ha? hmmmm...u dont need to be so rude actually. only a hard push will make that line. which even if u use a protector will make the same line. unless the protector is thick which is very good. find a 14.1" protector for this lappy. btw, i tested it on mine cuz i have 4 Asus lappy in my house...and most of my rig stuff is Asus. and all the lappy hv anti scratch features. and the older lappy hv been tested. so i just test mine for fun. even tested the anti spill keyboard.^^ its fun actually. use plain water la.Added on September 25, 2009, 4:08 pm QUOTE(zorex @ Sep 25 2009, 12:42 PM) sorry but N50VN doesnt hv this feature. my friend own the same lappy as urs. it scratches very bad. a very good idea to use a protector on this lappy. This post has been edited by GothFebrio: Sep 25 2009, 04:08 PM |
