my p8700 running at 58C idle, 69-70C load. i think his temp normal. depends on the notebook design.

Added on October 22, 2009, 2:03 pmwhen i compare my HDD temperature with my brothers notebook F8Sv. his Hitachi 160GB only 36-38C. and my seagate 5400.5 320GB is like 47-48C in my f81se. well after i changed to WD scorpio black 320GB the temperature is still the same. so i gv my seagate to my brother. and yea his notebook running it at the same temp (36C-38C) as before....and my WD scorpio black is still 47-48C in my notebook. design...but i hv a cooler which cools it down to 40-41C.^^

is WD scorpio performance HDD?
*
7200rpm 16mb cache. things load faster. WIE score increase from 5.5 to 5.9. 3dmark06 increase from 3400 to 3500. doing stuff is more snapier.doesnt lag when hdd at full, like copy paste or extracting/preparing file. else. for my notebook i can feel it spins faster. but not that obvious. overall im satisfied with it.its quiet. no clicking sound or weird sound.

Is there any other way to get Windows 7 for Asus laptop besides having to order and ask them to ship it at USD 19.99?

Q: What is included in the Windows® 7 Upgrade Program package, and when will I receive it?

A: The Windows® 7 Upgrade Program package from ASUS will include a single Windows® 7 upgrade DVD, an installation manual, as well as a driver DVD (product model specific). ASUS will update the website and commence shipping after Windows® 7 has been officially launched by Microsoft.

Core i7 is a better choice if compared to C2extreme...while C2extreme can still out-edge i5...=.=
