It is Penryn. How come?

Added on September 27, 2009, 10:56 am

Thanks for the suggestion.
Can I know any improvement or advantage of the use of 64-bit OS rather than 32-bit?
*
cpu, hard disk,Ram is depend on the dealer. thats why asus warranty does not cover these things.

64 bit os just slightly faster than 32 bit os. but the most important thing is the ram. u have 4gb ram, for 32 bit os the system will only use 3gb of the ram. 1gb ram wasted...idle...64 bit os can support more than 3gb.

u sure the G210M graphic card in ul80v (Class 3) more powerful than hd4570 (Class 2) in u80v?
*
dont think so. even nvidia classify G210m on mainstream. and not performance.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_m_series.html

8600M GT and 9500M GS is more powerful.

There is an updated ExpressGate build 1.2.13.14 available in Asus website, i was wondering if anyone have it installed and updated and whether the native screen resolution issue has been solved in this latest build?

The ExpressGate preinstalled in u80v can't display correctly (just like other model i suppose) at native resolution of 1366x768pix, screen display is being stretched horizontally....

so any idea gentlemen? tongue.gif
*
same like before...stretched too here on my asus f81se.

QUOTE(mavric @ Oct 9 2009, 03:53 PM)
these are the temps of my u80 at present, on idle, without aircond on in my house(just the fan only). i still have my evercool magic plugged into the side vent.

would it be safe to say the temperature of the hdd and both the cores can be considered normal, under such air cooling conditions?

it is strange the temperature of the ACPI reported by speedfan(67C) is different compared to hardware monitor(50C) but 50C on idle is still quite high.

what's wrong with my lappie?  sad.gif

[attachmentid=1239917]
*
wat r u talking about. my f81se p8700 idle is 58-60C.....38C is consider very cool already. my ACPI is 59C-61C. i dont think the speed fan showing the temperature. if it does it will show where the rest of the temperature showns.

urm..but in my case..the speedfan i'm using show's the ACPI temp as 67C and it stays constant whether i am idling or playing games or whatever...but for CPUID HWMonitor show's the temp is around 46-37C on idle and will go up as load increase. which one i should 'trust' more?
*
the speedfan doesnt show the temperature...maybe its some kind of model or watever. if its a temperature it should shown where the rest of the temperatures are shown.

My first choice is N51Vf with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8700,4GB memory,320GB hard drive and NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 130M, with 1GB VRAM.
Second choice is N51Vg with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8700,4GB memory,320GB hard drive and NVIDIA® GeForce® G 105M , with 512MB VRAM.
*If anyone still got this model please quote me with your price.

hi guys.. i have an asus n50. would like to ask how do i turn off the start up sound? the asus's default boot sound.. not windows'.

thanks!
*
its in the bios. when the asus sign(sound) pop out press F2(at least this is for me). just browse the setting. there should be an option "play post sound" someting like that.
