Hi, I want to buy Asus Notebook 14.1 inch. I got 2 candidates F81SE or U80V. Is it true U80V lighter than F81SE? Any suggestion which one shud i buy?

yup .. im proud owner of one myself ... go and get the limited edition with the proc P8700.

I was facing the same problem as yours, but at the end I choose to purchase a pricier U80V mainly due to its weight (2.15kg), longer battery life (up to 6 hours), backlit keyboard (including touchpad)and cool design (some people don't like glossy finish). All other aspects are the same. It all depends on your needs. For me, my main criteria is mobility, so I dont mind to sacrifice another RM400. Based on my needs, I would formulate it like this:

F81SE+ RM400 = U80V
RM400 = lighter + long battery life +backlit keyboard +cool design

So, it depends whether your needs require you to have these extra features or not.

Well from my research that I did, I think the F81se gonna be phase out very soon because:

a) 2-3weeks before PCFAIR, they came out with F81se P8700 "SPECIAL EDITION" at a price of RM3599.
b) after PCFAIR they sell it at RM3399.

I'd go for U80VG because they have alot and alot of good review on the net. such as from cnet.com, and etc.

my budget is below 5k..so these all reached my target..jz wonder which 1 is betta?

N81Vg, F81Se, U80V, imho in terms of graphic, all will give u roughly the same performance...
