Yea, I bought it at KLCC PC Fair yesterday. It is a 14 inch laptop with ATI HD4570 512mb graphic card. Cost me RM3799. Initially I plan to buy the one with T6500 processor but to my surprise, they actually have this higher spec one available. So I just grab it.

Theres 2 variant of U80V. Lower spec one is price at RM3199 (T6500, 2G DDR2, 240G HDD?).

I still haven't do any extensive battery test on it yet, but based only on the battery meter reading, this is what I read:

High Performance mode (with Firefox, messenger, an external HD and mouse connected, Half Life 2 running, maximum brightness and backlit keyboard on), I got a range from 1 hour 45min to 3 hours.

Battery Saving mode (with backlit off, Firefox, messenger, wifi and brightness at min), I got a range from 5 hours 30min to 6 hours 30min.

There isn't any coupon for Window 7 included inside my packaging, but there is a sticker at its screen cover that said that my system is eligible for upgrade. I believe you will need to register for this program at Asus website to get the free copy of Window 7 shipped to you on October 22. Bare in mind that you may required to pay shipping cost for it.

Its true that I bought it during KLCC PC Fair but I dont know how many stock they still have for this model.

I was facing the same problem as yours, but at the end I choose to purchase a pricier U80V mainly due to its weight (2.15kg), longer battery life (up to 6 hours), backlit keyboard (including touchpad)and cool design (some people don't like glossy finish). All other aspects are the same. It all depends on your needs. For me, my main criteria is mobility, so I dont mind to sacrifice another RM400. Based on my needs, I would formulate it like this:

F81SE+ RM400 = U80V
RM400 = lighter + long battery life +backlit keyboard +cool design

So, it depends whether your needs require you to have these extra features or not.
