I understand the chop CHOP attitude of the censorship board, but was wondering how the heck the movie can stand chop CHOP and make sense (well have some sliver) of the story??

Scene 1: "Oh, me and this guy here will just go behind that bush! *Wink*, *Wink*"

!!!!!!Deleted scene!!!!!!!!

Scene 2: "Oh my god!! Boy 1 and Girl 1 is DEAD!"

Huh??

Sin City

I know I know. It is not a horror movie per se (or at least NOT advertise as), but Ellijah Wood hot off the LOTR plays a cannibal. A cannibal with sharp nail who can give Mickey Rourke a a can of whoop @$$!!! *Shivers*

The Unborn

Watched this movie, two days back

It is apparent that the director was going for something different and decided on Jewish lore but...

Well, the way the "evil/demon" is portraited was interesting, but there is a certain detachment about the storyline that doesn't invite the viewers into it.

Worth a view if you have the time. Not a must see.

A Haunting in Connecticut

O-M-G! What a SCARY movie!

There are REALLY some disturbing scenes.

And supposedly based on a TRUE story.

If you like scary movie, YOU'LL WANT TO WATCHED THIS.

If you watch this on DVD/Blu-Ray, there is a special documentary about the really people in the movie. And the stuff they were talking about the house is EVEN SCARIER...

Welcome.

Yes, SAW is considered Horror, Slasher/Horror.

We here consider anything that gives you goose pimple, as horror (eg. Jack Black in Drag!! tongue.gif)

Visit often and share.

Dracula (1992) - Francis Ford Coppola

I've always love this movie

Watched it again on BD last Sunday and have to say, I've fallen in love with it all over again.

The costume design, the flow of the movie, the characters, the shadows and NO CGI!!

REALLY old skool! tongue.gif

I like!!

btw.. in the movie, & the end there, the older sister told the younger sister to hide, but in the end they didn't said that where is the younger sister does they?
if is not, then the sister been burn til dead also ?
*
No they didn't mention what happened to her.

Now in the interview with the actual people who lived in the house, the real girl (not a little girl anymore) did give an interview, so if the real girl lives.... nod.gif

Hope that reassures you smile.gif

Yes, this story was one of the story that appeared in Discovery's A Haunting

The producers of this movie saw that and decided to make a movie from it

And they got the approval from the family before they did so

The family was initially reluctant, they receive a lot of bad press in the 80s from the news media, which accused them of fame seeking (eg. that they went public to gain fame and not because there was a haunting)

For people who had not watched this movie and enjoy horror movie, go watch it

Are there reliable sources on this haunting. Its "based on"... which means plenty of horror moments are added for the sake of movie goers wanting some scare.

I search online for this "true story" and barely could find anything concrete.
*
A VERY valid question.

It all boils down to whether you believe in spirit/soul...

If you had seen the the poster of this movie, it looks like the "boy" have a piece of fabric (ectoplasm) pulled out off his mouth

Believe it or not, capturing ghostly images can be trace as far back as the existence of the camera.

A lot of them are proven to be fake (like the picture mention above), double exposure, manipulation of the shutter speed and playing of light and shadows etc

But there are just some photographs that defy explanation. (If you have watched the Thai version of Shutter, you get glimpses of such pictures)

Again, it all boils down to whether you believe in the soul

Please be appreciative of not being able to see ghost or apparitions

It is my believe that one has to be the same wave-length as the ghost/apparition in order to see it (eg. people who are exceptionally depressed and/or negative)

My two sens worth

[P.S. I hope you don't mind, I'm cutting and pasting this reply in my Horror Movies Thread as well]

Horror movie fan reporting in.
Damn, I haven't watched connecticut yet. Will be watching it soon.

I'm also watching 4bia this weekend (yes I'm a slowpoek).

Skrip 7707 looks interesting, but I won't pay money to see it in a cinema. Will wait for Raya LOL.

Do watch A Haunting in Connecticut

It's good

The lead actor is Smallville's Flash (Barry Allen)

And the actress who plays his mother is from a popular movie from the 1980s [Electric Dream - anyone remember this!!?] Virginia Madesen

Audition (Jap)
Black Christmas (US)
Eden Lake (UK)
Haunte Tension (French)
Outpost (US)

Though I thought that The Cube was an English (as in England) production

I've got Eden Lake in DVD, but haven't gotten around to it

Also Haunte Tension sounds interesting!!

More news please!!

Or are you sadistic enough to keep us on a limb.... tongue.gif
