Thanks! will try them out.

just to share: currently i am playing a game called Outlast. You may want to try that out as well.

Its a game that let u create the Found Footage within a massive screwed up asylum. So far, 90% of the time, the environment is completely dark and need to use the night vision on the camera to go around looking for exits.

the scares impact is powerful, dead bodies/crazy mutated people will jump right in front of u in the dark.  to add on, the feeling of having these people chasing u with chainsaw/knifes in complete darkness is just  thumbup.gif

Oh yeah i know about this game! I saw youtube vidoes of people playing it a while ago but forgotten all about it. Gonna play it this weekend! Thanks for reminding me.

Deliver Us from Evil (2014)

Just got back from this movie, and I like it!!

It is formulaic, no question.

It is not the most fast paced movie. Just right for character development, and story.

Only famous "star" here is Eric Bana, and have to add, all parts here are well acted by the actor/actress cast!!

Story is supposed to be based on actual case, and I would actually loved to see more adaption of the two leads!!

So, in conclusion, despite the chair kicking, chair shaking, bf & gf regurgitating the plot between themselves and is not shy to let other people hear, and also the modest budget of the movie, I found this movie engaging and interesting.

Oh, another observation, director Scott Derrickson should stick to horror and leave Scifi alone...

Mov_freak,compare this with Sinister 2012,which one is better?
I have movie date with my partner this weekend and judging from trailer it seems very promising I want to watch it, and I love Sinister too.

i've watched all the toplist of horror (pertaining to ghost) films includes indie films and
imho; these following films are quite good and should be remembered.
The Exorcist (1973) - still fresh in my mind.
4bia (2008), 4bia2 (2009) - should be listed in best asian horror.
3extreme (2004) - a very good compilation and provides a lot of thinking.

meanwhile,if you're looking for horror & thriller,a bunch of good films and it should be a tough job to compile those in the greatest horror of all time and you might consider these;
dream home (2010)
Inside(A Linterieur)(2007).Unrated.
You re Next (2011).
I Saw the Devil (2010)
Would You Rather (2012)
The Loved Ones (2009)

A Haunted House 2 (2014)

Okay, chances are, if you are reading this, it means you have either watched A Haunted House (2013) or you are familiar with Marlon Wayans' movies.

This is a comedy/horror that is R Rated.

R Rated not because of the horror elements but because you'll see many sides of Marlon Wayans you never wanted to see....

Movie this movie take the mickey out of are

The Conjuring (2013) (I will NEVER look at Annabella the same way again...)
All the Paranormal Activities

I think too much focus is place on Marlon Wayans...

So if you are a fan of his...

Hungry Ghost Ritual 盂蘭神功 (2014)

Nick Cheung directorial debut and... he chose a ghost story??

First Simon Yap now him?...

Do they really think that horror movies are easy to make??

The interesting thing was it was actually filmed in Malaysia (Why do Hong Kies thinks that Malaysia's spooky??). The thing that shocked me most was... seeing a Proton Waja in one of the scenes!! laugh.gif

Movie revolves around an Cantonese Opera Troupe.

There is a twist at the end, and I think there lies the issue...

Nick Cheung in his directorial debut, tried to pull an M Knight Shamalyan!!!

Did not quite work.. At least not to me.

I do have to add, that the very last frame of the movie is actually... poetic!!

Not the best horror movie by far, Nick Cheung needs to attend film school.... tongue.gif

I'm mean, I know.

I'm not a horror movie fan per se, but I love watching corny slashers (e.g. Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, bla bla bla.. you get the idea).. Unfortunately for me there hasn't been any good slashers so far in 2014, unless I missed something that you guys managed to catch?

Slashers have fallen out of favour of late... In my opinion, Deliver Me From Evil is one of the best horror (things that bump in the night type horror) this year.

Yea, very sad... so now I'm resigned to downloading B-grade slashers and having a good laugh on how crappy they are, hehehe... My most recent one was Wrong Turn 6, which in my opinion, is the worst in the series...

Would love to see a showdown between Annabelle and Chucky... kinda like how there was a Freddy vs Jason movie years ago, haha... Imagine the possibilities laugh.gif
