Hi...i'm new here but used in driving 4wd. I want to ask about the turbo lag in vigo. I recently drove one, 2.5 MT. Especially during start jln from stop on hill. The engine give a bit roar but feel no power then it died. I never face this prblm in my family old hilux. Is it the problem of the vigo or maybe something else is wrong??

QUOTE(MitsuStorm @ Jan 17 2013, 08:23 AM) yeah i love that uncomfort ride, 10 years driving easiest is to lift the torsion bar, but beware that your suspension will be stiffer. Another way is to do a body-lift.btw, my new tyres are too thick i think, it hit the tyre back flip everytime i turn it, any solution? im bringing it to the mechanic after this, maybe need to lift the front part a bit? using spacers? |

Is it the problem of the vigo or maybe something else is wrong?? normal for old vigo 103hp what to expect, the new vnt 145hp that is good enough to handle any condition.as for the engine that turn off, maybe its the clutch, you know when you miss it,it will affect the engine. QUOTE(MitsuStorm @ Jan 17 2013, 08:23 AM) yeah i love that uncomfort ride, 10 years driving torsion lift, body lift, spacer and alignment can fix it.choose, final fix body trim and and remove it.btw, my new tyres are too thick i think, it hit the tyre back flip everytime i turn it, any solution? im bringing it to the mechanic after this, maybe need to lift the front part a bit? using spacers? |

That coupling is for my Toyota Hilux SR pricing, its just my estimate of what a steering coupling should be(Storm and SR use the same suspension type). The lifting just say " raise the torsion bar" enuf? ok thanks I dont know about Storm price though. As for the torsion bar lift they should charge you the labour charge only because there is no part replacement, usually its rm30-1??(ask them first). |

QUOTE(MitsuStorm @ Jan 17 2013, 02:02 PM) Alright okay. Thanks. So i prepare Rm400 for steering coupling. Thanks dude. i personally don't recommend this, but this is indeed the most cost effective way xD raising ur torsion bar means stiffening ur suspension, and ur new absorbers might be not as effecient due to the lifted height. I guess this is suitable for short-term fix.The lifting just say " raise the torsion bar" enuf? ok thanks |

QUOTE(MitsuStorm @ Jan 17 2013, 02:48 PM) alright. thank you so much on the info. will update later on price for storm. so others can refer. 1. Added 1-inch thick metal spacer to my front sus, and changed higher ball joint. This lifts the front by around 2 inches. Spring n absorber no change.why exactly you dont recommend it? sorry for the many ques, a bit new about this. <-- i bet this one also have the same effect.2. Trimed inside front part of mud guard a bit. 3. Removed front mud flaps. 4. Replaced rear shackles to longer ones to compensate front lift. 5. Replaced rear absorbers to Rancho XL9000 for better comfort. My tire size: 31x10.5 R15 Maxxis Buckshot Mudders MT No issues so far. |

QUOTE why exactly you dont recommend it? sorry for the many ques, a bit new about this. Your lifted torque bar will cause ur lower arm(front wheel) to change, it reduce the flexibility of the torque bar suspension(thus making ur overall suspension stiffer), and u will ned to fix the chamber issue. To ur shock absorber imo(i might be wrong), due to the lifted new height, it no longer have the same effective length for the absorption. |
