I thought single cabbies only exist in Thailand, because nearly everyone there can't afford to pay for an extra 2 doors.
*
The number of double cab trucks in thailand is triple the number of ours here in Malaysia.

Tata parts will kill you with price or frustration. EON SC are famous for u know.. "excellent service" and "lidat wan, biasalah.." for most probs.

Do you need the 4x4 capabilities?

Get the Isuzu Invader or the Hilux before the SR version !

Have you heard of the 5L Vitara in Sabah some years ago ? There's only one of its kind in Malaysia.

Commonrail tuning kit for RM1800 is considered cheap as the market price for the item is around RM3000

Gentleman, I'm kinda interested on the new Navara. However after doing some online research, found Nissan Navara is plague with tonnes of problem. I'm not sure if any owner here can re-valid the claims. Seems like tonnes of owners in Europe aren't happy with their mighty navara.
*
mind to elaborate what kind of problems ?

Hi guys. Didnt knew there was a 4x4 thread here. Guess i have been searching under the wrong category by brand  tongue.gif

Triton 2.5 2010 model owner here (Solid white). Do you guys have any picture of your modded 4WD? Just to get some ideas how far people nowadays can go in modding their 4WD. I uses my car for mostly city and highway traveling interstate only (no masuk forest/mountains..) so i am looking for something a bit sporty approach. Am searching on what can be modded and where to do it. (I heard thailand dealers have good quality accessories stock and cheap prices?)  Please share your creations  rclxms.gif
*
Just simple extra exterior make up like the bug guard, side body clading and all those crappy plastic chrome covering.

Go for the heavier accessories like the suspension/spring/rims/tyres whhenever budget comes, no need to rush for now.

Heavier mods like chip tuning, engine modification just put on a hold because I'm also still in research for them, haha ! If want to buy in Thailand, go to Bangkok, southern area still expensive (though cheaper compared to Malaysia) because they know many Malaysians go shopping there.

All those winch, bullbars, tow bar with bumper are totally unneccessary for you as you said you are not going offroad. They just make your vehicle hundreds of kilos heavier which means bad FC and bad for tyres.

If have proper budget, go for street look rather than offroad look although my taste is the offroad monster brows.gif

Is that thing adjustable?

Any other suggestions?

I wonder the suspension u suggested will make my car more comfort?

Because i use my car 80% On road,20% Off road..
*
yes it will, if you are not carrying load that often, removing 1 layer each from the leaf spring will give you a significant difference, secondly, install a leaf spring damperner and add the adjustable suspension.

azxel, u hv plenty of choices there with 150k budget.

Pajero sport, 4x4, or 4x2.
Take 4x2 if u dont need 4x4 for better fc and cheaper of course.

Hyundai Tucson? Looks cute n good for both city n urban cruise due to its medium size.
Or Hyundai Santa for 7 seater, and slightly bigger engine (take the diesel if u choose this car)

CR-V ? proven to be quite reliable, but engine seems to hv too little torque.

Forget about x3, it's tiny. Hahaha.
*
I think within your budget you can get the 2nd hand XC90, the engine is quite robust and the most powerful within its kind.

i will get my navara next week
my navara is the 2.5 SE 4WD
i wonder if these cars with electronic 4WD shift will last long because i've read reviews on mitsu and d-max where the electronic shifters jammed
not that i will use the 4wd frequently but takut also if it happens when i really need it
*
that's a common problem with electronic. for me i prefer to stick to the manual version.

4x2 is like an ordinary car, go to muddy area it will stuck easier than car due to its weight. extra torque will actually dig the mud deeper. so watch out.
