Mine also stuck at logo boot screen after I used method 2, dpkg -i to install the mms2g.deb file..

I used the method below to restore it ...

anybody successfuly sent/received MMS on i2G with 3.1.2 firmware? (im on Maxis)

I successfully send/receive MMS on i2G with 3.1.2 firmware (digi).

note: yes, native MMS, not swirly smile.gif

for info: i am able to received native mms but unable to send out

There must be something wrong with your apn network settings. Do check previous pages, on how to meddle with it. Also, which service provider are you on?

Here my fix.. This is for 3.1.3

To replace the CommCenter, navigate to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support

and paste in the new CommCenter file.
***THIS IS IMPORTANT***
With iFile on your phone or via SSH set the CommCenter file to

Owner: root
Group: wheel

permissions:
user: Read/Write/Execute
Group: Read/Execute
World: Read/Execute

That is 0755 permissions guys... And i Resest all setting after i replace the file.. Works fine for me...
