DiGi user here, finally after 3 hours of trying, my 2g iphone can send and receive mms (tested kaw kaw)
Sent to a Nokia and received a MMS from a Nokia/Iphone3g too. Works like a magic.
I learn that, firstly u need to be on OS 3.0 , secondly update yr ipcc ( very important or else wont work, for DiGi user your carrier must show DIGI 4.1, under Settings -> General -> About ) Then finally install the "ActivateMMS2G" from cydia and follow the instruction. I did "ssh" follow Method 2 (SSH) on the first post of this thread.
After that finally i restarted the iphone, went to the "Cellular Data Network" KaBoomm the settings all were already there. Didnt disappear.
All the best trying.

QUOTE(d@odao @ Jun 30 2009, 09:15 AM) the setting did not dissapear is because the ipcc file contains that setting, so it stay put... even, if u did the reset on the network, the setting will still be there... how fast ur mms can sent out after u hit the send button ?... it takes around 15-20 seconds

today i realized, suddenly the mms settings under the "Cellular Data Network" went missing again and my Carrier was 4.1, all out of a sudden. Updated the ipcc file now, n its back to 4.0 and the settings is no longer disappearing.
Weird uh...or maybe the phone is updating the carrier version itself ? could that be possible ?

miskol : thanks sharing the tip... more data = more money (unless on unlimited data plan then who cares)
Like for me i am using digi prepaid, their data chargers are just so ridiculous, i very seldom surf on EDGE, but now with the MMS function is working on my 2g, no excuse not to use.
thanks again for sharing the useful tip of turning off EDGE to reduce data usage.

im still having the same issue, after updating the ipcc file mms works, after a few days the setting automatically goes missing again. have to update the DiGi ipcc file again via itunes. anyone know why ? The network carrier version also changes automatically to 4.1 after updating goes back to 4.0 , all this happens automatically.
Is digi updating it ?
Added on July 8, 2009, 11:23 pmanyone facing this same issue ?

well for what i heard from a maxis customer service rep is that they do not charge for data if u send MMS, they only charge you flat rate for the MMS, there is a limit of 300kb for MMS. I am not sure.
If I am not mistaken if receive MMS they charge or not. Quite confusing and they are not very direct on this matter. Need to investigate further.
