Depends on your need. For landscape it'll be better if you get a tripod. For action / events shooting, a monopod would be a better choice
Thanks viking. Thats y i also thinking of a monopod which will suite be better tongue.gif

I'm using vg also. I hold at right side when i'm taking landscape. Then when i turn to portrait, the strap will block my view finder.

faced something like that too when taking portrait..

i bought a cheap hand strap pixco brand, attached the pixco base mount, removed the hand strap at the right, and attached the original neck strap on the base mount to the left neck strap hole. so now the neck strap is on the left hand side..

if feels comfortable when taking pics in portrait mode with batt grip.. no neck strap blocking the view.

Bro, I just browsing down to KL to find backpack for camera;
What shocked me; I went to Pavillion with ma gf, pass-by this photo + camera shop, the one near basement onto surau area..

The issue is; the shop is selling lowepro product which is what im looking for! smile.gif) but the price is way too pricey.. e.g; lowepro Fastpack 100 is MYR499.00, Fastpack 250 is MYR699.00. Is this a normal retail price?

p/s: found one seller in LYN selling new Lowepro Fastpack also; FastPack200 for MYR320.

Those shops tries to "chop" consumers who are not aware of the market for camera goods. They target those who are not internet savvy whom doesn't check online for prices and recommended shops to purchase from.

Just imagine the amount of profit they make with that.

I had a similar experience yesterday. Me and my friend was looking for a basic 58mm Hoya UV HMC filter. At YL Camera, got quoted about RM70, but no stock. Then we went over to Sg Wang to scout, no stock also. Then went into Fotokem and Bintang Maju (if not mistaken) in Lowyat Plaza. Both offered like RM180. I was like WTF? I burst out in laughter when they told me the price. They must be thinking I could be a potential victim. I think when they saw me laugh, they also went WTF??
